She anticipates passes on defense to create steals and finishes effectively using either hand. Anna handles the ball well and is a complete player who will have a big impact for Brighton in District 13.

Anna seemed to hit her stride as the day went on for Team 3 and she went on a scoring spree at The Expo. Anna moved quickly to cut off ball handlers and stole the ball multiple times. She clamped down defensively to cause a held ball and scored multiple left-handed layups full speed. Anna heated up to hit multiple wing 3s and had a solid performance at the event.

Minnick had a fantastic AAU season, and the National Championship was no different. She demonstrated great passing abilities and made a few shots behind the arc. In a close game, she heightened her defensive intensity and secured a crucial tie-up when her team was trailing by one. Her determined expression clearly showed that she meant business! I anticipate a remarkable sophomore season for Anna.

Minnick is one of those athletes that’s just good at sports. She’s a very good softball prospect as well. But college coaches would enjoy seeing her show off her hoop skills at The Expo. She has great vision and reaction time, probably also why she’s so good in the field. Minnick is a high IQ passer and decision maker. She sees the right pass and puts the ball where it needs to be.

played unselfish and winning basketball for Mystics-2027-S40 and her decision-making on the court helped the team be successful at the Select Super Showcase. She showed a burst off the dribble to drive by her defender baseline to score a layup and deflected a pass in help on defense. Anna made great passes including a bounce pass through a tight window to her teammate for an open 3. She is a guard I am excited to see compete for Brighton this fall.

Basketball fans in Brighton will be very happy to see Minnick play. She does an excellent job finding lanes to the rim and attacking them quickly and directly. Minnick is probably at her best when she attacks the rim. She’s also a very solid shooter that can bury a three off the catch.
