Expert Analysis
Jon Orr | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Durham put together a strong freshman campaign. Respectfully averaging 13 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists per game as the starting point guard. With both backcourt mates graduating, the offense now runs through Durham.
Her ability to get downhill and finish at the rim from either side already makes her difficult to contain. If the outside shot continues to develop, she could become one of the region’s more complete offensive weapons. Defensively, her on-ball pressure, positioning, and IQ consistently create turnovers and transition opportunities. A strong sophomore season could significantly elevate her stock.

Had great freshman year this season! Was able to garner second team all region for Lakeland. Had a breakout game of 30 points, 11 steals, 7 assist nd 5 rebounds. Has a good mid-range jumper and can shoot the three-pointer as well. She is very crafty and can get to the rim for lap ups. Is a good athlete that can defend both guard positions!

A young guard who already plays with advanced feel. Durham showed throughout the season that she’s capable of competing well beyond her years. She brings a combination of quickness, instincts, and composure that gives Lakeland a strong foundation in the backcourt moving forward.
Durham is at her best when attacking downhill. She uses her burst to get into the lane and finish. While also showing the ability to create opportunities for others with solid court vision. She doesn’t force the action and plays with a natural pace that allows her to read defenders and make the right play.
Defensively, she stands out with her ball-hawking ability. Durham anticipates well, gets into passing lanes, and creates transition opportunities with her activity. Her effort on that end adds another layer of impact beyond scoring.
With Lakeland set to graduate its two primary backcourt contributors this spring, the keys now shift to Durham. She projects as the next lead guard for the program and will take on a larger role as the primary engine of the offense.
