She made sure that was the case in the Championship Game. Kaiya drilled a three at the top of the key and called game, sealing victory with a majestic wing three that put Midland over the 30-point threshold. The Chemics are a contender, and Kaiya will be their court general again this winter.

Kaiya brings an unlimited supply of communication, energy, and hustle to the Midland backcourt. She keeps the ball moving like a pinball to teammates, sinks the open three, has a very effective floater in the paint, goes after every 50/50 ball, keeps the ball on a string, and applies constant pressure on the perimeter. High-IQ court general who can do it all, and I’m anticipating a very impactful performance from her at Michigan Jam Live 3v3.

Kaiya showed why she can be viewed as a complete floor general at the Northwood Elite Camp. During 5-on-5 action, she consistently kept her head up and found teammates with a variety of well-timed passes, displaying excellent court vision and a strong feel for the game. Kaiya did more than simply distribute the ball, as she was also active and disciplined on the defensive end. She communicated constantly, helped keep her teammates organized, and made sure everyone was on the same page. Her combination of playmaking, basketball IQ, and defensive leadership made her one of the 2028 guards who turned heads at camp.

Kaiya, a point guard for Midland, turned in a strong performance on Sunday at Northwood Team Camp with her poise, leadership, and ability to control the game. She consistently made smart decisions with the basketball, showing outstanding court vision and delivering accurate passes that created quality scoring opportunities for her teammates. Throughout the day, she was constantly communicating and directing traffic, serving as an extension of the coaching staff on the floor. Kaiya also made defenses pay from the perimeter, knocking down multiple three-pointers, including a smooth step-back from the top of the key. Her impressive play earned her a campus visit with Northwood following the camp, where she also picked up an offer.

Kaiya was impactful in every element of the game for Midland at CMU Team Camp, ultimately resulting in an opportunity to continue her basketball career with the Chippewas. If you consistently play hard on both ends, communicate constantly, energize your teammates, make the right plays, compete with a relentless effort, and have the fundamental tools to be successful at your position, you’re going to impress college coaches. Kaiya has those qualities, and she consistently puts them into practice in whatever environment she’s in. Kaiya was active on the defensive end, creating steals, then immediately fired passes up the court to create transition scoring opportunities for teammates. She crashed the boards to secure offensive rebounds and demonstrated excellent vision/instincts as a facilitator. Kaiya was efficient with the shots she did take and showed her ability to hit from the outside. She drained a smooth corner three and knocked down a deep three from the wing.

Kaiya displayed all the qualities that make her one of the most complete point guards in this class at the PGH MI College Tour with Mystics 16U P24. She put on a masterclass as a facilitator, defender, and put points on the board. Kaiya finished at the rim off two feet, anticipated a missed shot, zoomed in to grab the offensive rebound, then finished with a smooth reverse layup. Kaiya pushed the tempo, dished out many assists, and generated steals with her pesky ball pressure.

Kaiya averaged 6.1 points, 6.9 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game for the Chemics. Her relentless effort, constant communication, unselfish presence, and uptempo style consistently stand out. Kaiya works tirelessly on the perimeter to apply ball pressure, creates space off the dribble, reverses the court with her strong passes, makes the hustle plays, and is capable of scoring at all three levels. She’s an energetic court general with all the fundamental tools and competitive qualities.

Kaiya ignited the Chemics with her scrappy defensive pressure, perimeter shooting, determined rebounding, and pinpoint passes. She created steals and delivered dimes to teammates in transition. Kaiya penetrated gaps, caused the help to rotate, and made the extra pass for assists. She drained a smooth straightaway three in transition and another deep triple from the wing. Kaiya’s anticipation led to multiple steals and she raced up the court for a breakaway layup. Kaiya pursued the ball hard off the rim, used every ounce of her strength to gain the advantage, and had several offensive rebounds. She finished put-backs with her right and left hand off two feet. Kaiya turned in an impressive two-way performance and poured in 14 important points for Midland on the road.

Kaiya is set to make a major impact in her sophomore season at Midland, bringing maturity and poise that far exceed her age. As a dynamic point guard, she takes command of the offense with clear communication and steady direction, helping keep her team organized and engaged. With her explosive first step, she gets downhill quickly and creates opportunities for teammates through sharp reads and timely passes. Off the ball, she moves with purpose, cutting into open space and finishing plays with control around the rim. On defense, her awareness and quick hands lead to disruptions and turnovers. Kaiya’s blend of leadership, speed, and instinctive play makes her a standout young floor leader with a bright future.

Kaiya was one of the most vocal and impactful players at Wade’s World Fall Girls Showcase, commanding the floor with confidence and leadership well beyond her years. The point guard brings an infectious energy — always communicating, organizing, and motivating her teammates — truly an on-court extension of a coach. She’s lightning quick off the dribble, slicing through defenders with ease, and her vision and passing instincts make everyone around her better. Even off the ball, she made smart, purposeful cuts, including a smooth inside-hand finish at the rim. Defensively, she was just as locked in, creating chaos in passing lanes and picking pockets with perfect timing.
