We have a number of prospects traveling in from other states. One of the best coming in from West out of Nebraska is Kallyn Kassebaum. Kassebaum is a 5’11 Guard, that moves effortlessly down the court. She is natural enough that she can rebound and take it coast-to-coast. She can rebound, push tempo, and hit her teammates as they run in transition or she can rebound, get down the floor and set up her team’s offensive system if her coaches want her to slow it down. When you combined the type of skill she possesses already with her size at 5’11 and her knowledge of the game – you can see that this is someone who will end up as a D2 or D1 hooper as they move into the collegiate ranks over the next couple of seasons if she sticks with it.

There is a lot of curiosity with Kallyn Kassebaum Kallyn Kassebaum 5'11" | CG/PG Palmyra | 2029 State NE and her current situation at Lincoln Christian so it’s hard to judge where she is at compared to this Class but in short, she is a 6’0 PG with touch on the ball, a smart head on her shoulders, and a selflessness as a pass-first player. Right not Kassebaum is playing small, small Varsity minutes so it’s tough but she does have some impactful moments when she does see court time. When we get into AAU season, everyone will see her a little bit more and they will see what she is all about as a leader on and off of the ball as well so she just needs to continue to keep on working on her craft. For now though, she rounds out our Top Five at #5.

Kallyn Kassebaum Kallyn Kassebaum 5'11" | CG/PG Palmyra | 2029 State NE really stood out with her ability to create space, as well as attack space. Kassebaum is a lengthy guard that slashed past defenders left and right on Sunday. Cutting and driving alike, I liked that she used her size to stretch the floor and create opportunities to score. She also attacked space while grabbing offensive rebounds — if you don’t get a body on Kassebaum, she’s beating you to the rim.

Kallyn is a capable shooter who can also get to the rim. She is a solid finisher once she gets to the rim.

She is a stout rebounder on both the offensive and defensive glass. On defense, she is a capable defender who uses her length to her advantage.

We heard a little bit about Kallyn Kassebaum Kallyn Kassebaum 5'11" | CG/PG Palmyra | 2029 State NE prior to this event and everything we heard was true from the looks of it. Kassebaum is a 6’0 player from the 2029 Class. She will attend Lincoln Christian this Winter and I’m sure she might even start. Kassebaum checks off a lot of boxes. That’s the simplest way to put it and she hasn’t even stepped onto the Varsity floor yet this Winter. She can be your anchor as a PG coming down the floor or she can move off of the rock and still be a main producer on both offense and defense. We are still early in this event but so good, so far from Kassebaum.

Kallyn Kassebaum Kallyn Kassebaum 5'11" | CG/PG Palmyra | 2029 State NE is going to be someone out of the 2029 Class that everyone is going to learn about sooner than later throughout the state of Nebraska. Kassebaum is already standing at 5’11 and competing at the SG position. What separates this one from most others in her age-group is the fact that she understands situational concepts extremely well and she is very coordinated on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she can shoot from deep or shot fake fake name | 2027 NE and get all the way to the bucket for a crafty finish. Defensively, her size and athletic ability allow her to switch onto multiple positions at this time. I’m excited to see what K.K. can bring to the table on Sunday. We will have some top prospects from the state in the building so I can’t wait to see how she competes against those individuals.
