MJ Murphy MJ Murphy 6'1" | PF/C Millard North | 2029 State NE will be a player we keep an eye on moving into the rest of this Winter with how well she has been playing the past 2-3 months. We mentioned Murphy prior to this season on the AAU floor but she has stepped up as being someone to note for the rest of her high school career with the promise she is showing at this point. Murphy is currently only a Freshman but she stands at 6’1 with touch on the basketball and solid coordination for her size. You can’t teach height and so as long as Murphy can build on the foundation she has in place now, she should be moving into out Top Five out of this Class before you know it.

MJ Murphy MJ Murphy 6'1" | PF/C Millard North | 2029 State NE is going to be a natural on the varsity floor before you know it. Murphy has better size than most already at 6’1, she is a back to the basket monster, and she makes eye-opening plays on defense. When oppositions give Murphy time to post with her back to the basket, it’s over almost immediately. She understands to use her balance, touch, and height to her advantage at all times. Like I said, defensively – this is someone who can be a stopper within the lane in every situation you can name. This is someone coming off of a productive AAU season with her Nebraska Supreme team and Murphy should be hungry to make some waves this Winter with the Mustangs.

The Midwest is going to hear the name MJ Murphy MJ Murphy 6'1" | PF/C Millard North | 2029 State NE over her next four years out on the basketball court. Murphy is a hooper with good touch, balance, coordination, situational awareness, and a lengthy body to pair along with all of that. Down-low she is someone that could be an impactful producer at the Varsity level with the correct guidance. She might be out of the 2029 Class but this is definitely someone that could make some impressive things happen over her career with how she presents herself now. She towers above move her age and that + her athletic ability is going to help her in the long run.
