Mariah’s point guard skills are solid on both ends of the ball. On defense she locked up the opposing point guards getting her team extra opportunities with steal turning many of them into points. She created her own offense off the dribble and dropped multiple three pointers even when closely guarded. She showed good vision on her drives keeping her eyes up for flashing teammates.

Her ability to handle the ball in the backcourt, effectively run the offense, and score at multiple levels makes her difficult to defend. Mariah was one of the slickest ball handlers in the building. She had some nice drives and finishes and showed a really good touch on her shot. She was good at finding gaps in the defense to attack and kept her head up in traffic to find open teammates for easy buckets.

Something must be in the water out Pikesville as the keep striking gold with talented players. Mariah came on the scene giving the Panthers yet another scoring option and a clear path to the state championship. She has had some massive outputs during her freshman season and if this continues during the club season she will enter her sophomore season as one of the more highly recruited players in the area.
