Mia, a sophomore guard for Powers Catholic, made her presence felt on Sunday at the Northwood Team Camp with her relentless effort and high-energy style of play. She set the tone defensively, applying constant pressure and competing on every possession. Mia sets the standard for effort, and she made winning plays on the court that helped Team 6 be successful at the Freshman Showcase. Mia hustled to save a loose ball going out of bounds and used great box-out technique to secure multiple rebounds. She drove hard to the basket, forced the help defender to rotate, and dished a perfect bounce pass for the assist. Mia closed out full-speed to block a shot and is going to be an all-around contributor for Powers Catholic this winter.

Mia was an impact player for Shoebox Elite 15U at our PGH Michigan State Tournament. Mia converted multiple tough layups off two feet inside and worked hard on defense to put pressure on ball-handlers. She drilled a triple up top and drove hard to score a layup off the dribble. Mia sealed her defender to score a soft finish off the glass and won her battle again for another contested layup off two feet.
