What’s in the water over at Newman? They’ve scored yet another young star. She’s already been mentioned as one of the summer’s biggest surprises after her AAU onslaught. Her dynamic playmaking happens at all 3 levels and Sarah is getting better each time watching. The question is how the coaching staff is going assemble their potential lineups? With her level of talent, there’s no way Geller isn’t a factor this season.

Newman has slew of talent and they’re looking to come back even stronger this year. One of the bright young names on their squad is Geller’s and she means absolute business. This AAU season was an eye opener after seeing her perform at a high-level in a couple critical games. Her patience, poise under pressure, ability to play off dho action and even her tendency to backdoor cut stood out. Geller plays with passion, so there’s always effort given in her minutes on the floor. There’s so much to look forward to with Sarah in the future, she needed to be mentioned here.

Sarah plays with relentless effort on the defensive end, fighting for loose balls and forcing turnovers that quickly turn into transition points. She has a smooth handle and uses hesitation moves effectively to beat defenders off the dribble. Sarah also plays an unselfish brand of basketball, always willing to make the extra pass to create a better shot for a teammate.

Sarah has a strong feel for the game, doing a great job of spacing the floor and finding open spots along the three-point line. She lets the game come to her and doesn’t force shots, making smart decisions throughout. In transition, she’s quick with the ball and finishes well at the rim, while also moving effectively without the ball to cut for easy scoring opportunities.

Sarah is extremely active on both ends, constantly cutting and never standing still offensively. She communicates well, serving as a vocal leader on the court. Her energy never dips, even after hours of gameplay, and she makes quick, decisive moves as soon as she catches the ball.

Geller is a toughminded player that’ll do whatever it takes to help her team secure the win. She can fill a few roles when needed, but she’s extremely effective as a disruptive defender. Her relentless attitude gives her the edge against competitors. Geller’s offensive game has started to grow too and this puts her in an advantageous spot this season. She’ll be able to contribute in many ways for Belmont.
