This was are first time seeing New Hope Academy in a real game this season as they have been doing early out of town tournaments for their first 7 games only losing one to Cedar Hill (TX). This game was although local was against a team from Canada, Kings Christian. The big name senior <strong>Jennifer Ezeh</strong> (Duke) played but her time was limited reportedly by a illness. The Eagles sophomore <strong>Jada Walker</strong> was more than capable of carrying the load. New Hope opened the game with a 20-8 first quarter run with Walker leading the way with 8 points in the period. New Hope doubled up the Canadians leading 36-18 at the half and stretched the score to 53-25.

The starters called it a day midway in the third and Walker finished her three periods with 17 points <strong>Delica Pennick</strong> finished with 10 points and Ezeh added 6 points as the Eagles cruised to a 63-34 final score. <strong>Elze Motekaiyte</strong> won the game's Scholar Athlete Award with 4 points and solid while Walker was awarded the game's Most Outstanding Player Award. In the loss Kings Christian was led by <strong>Laeticia Awhene</strong> who logged in 11 points.
