Coach Jermaine Dunn’s team used a variety of swarming presses to wear their opponents down and they never let up until the final buzzer. The four team division also featured The Friends School of Baltimore.
Dominique Billie, Forest Park
Ms. Billie is an athletic wing/guard and she shot lights out over the weekend from 3 point range. She is extremely active in the press and came up with countless steals and deflections.
Danielle Jones, Forest Park
Danielle picked up an MVP award for her efforts. She was strong on the offensive boards, scoring on several put backs. She was aggressive offensively but didn’t force things. She’s a very good facilitator and has a high IQ. In game one she messed around a had a triple double with 15 points, 15 rebounds and 10 steals. She followed that up with a double double of 12 and 10 the next game.
NIa Henry, Forest Park, 2021 Forward
Nia was her usual active self on the boards and she scored in a variety of ways. She’s very strong and explosive inside and she has a reliable perimeter game as well. Coppin State University was at both games to check on her progress.
Skylar Lewis, Edgewood, 2020 Guard
Skylar picked up a Player of the Game award for her all around play on Saturday. She was all over the court, sacrificing her body and making hustle plays for her team all game
Maya Carnes, Friends, 2022 Point Guard
Maya had a good outing with two strong games. She scored, rebounded and dished out assists. The only thing that slowed her down was foul trouble in the first game.
Ashley Chew, Chesapeake, 2020 Guard
Ashley was on the money during this event scoring 20 and 16 points in the two games to keep her team competitive. She scored in transition and from distance in the half court set. This was a really good performance for the senior scoring guard.
Morgan Gray, Chesapeake, 2020 Center
Morgan continued to impress me with her all around savvy and impact on the game. I love the way she anchors the defense by communicating and sliding over in help situations. She’s an excellent shot blocker and has some real solid post moves. It’s very surprising that she is still unsigned
