Throughout the rest of this week I will be going through and recapping the talent that was at the Top 250 Expo this past weekend. To start, I will take a look at the Top 10 performers from the event and then I will run through each team so that we are able to cover every player in attendance. Look out for that throughout the next few days. Below are 10 players that I saw this weekend that had a big impact throughout the event. <hr /> [player_tooltip player_id="342204" first="Clara" last="Teigland"] - 5’9 G - 2023 - Treynor HS Teigland was really good this weekend at the showcase and she did a lot of what makes her really good. She was able to get to the rim at a very high level and she was also able to defend at a very high level as well. Teigland is very good going to the basket as she has the ability to get downhill at a very high rate. Good touch around the rim and can hit jumpers as well. Does not take plays off and always will give full effort. [player_tooltip player_id="246119" first="Kayla" last="Reis"] - 5’7 SG - 2024 - Dallas Center-Grimes HS Reis was excellent in the event as she, per usual, shot the ball extremely well. She is a very solid guard who can play both guard spots pretty easily. I thought that she did a really nice job of handling the ball in the open floor and setting up the offense at times. Reads screens well and comes off of them ready to shoot. She had some moments where she could not miss a shot. Very hard worker on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="342205" first="Jayla" last="Williams"] - 5’8 SG - 2026 - CR Kennedy HS Williams might have been the most impressive prospect at the event and that was mainly due to her age. She is a very athletic guard who was able to get to the rim very easily off the bounce. Williams has a lot of length and has shown the ability to get to the rim at an astonishing pace. Looked to shoot the ball more than I've seen before as well. She'll be a very highly regarded player in the 2026 class and she showed a lot of great glimpses at the event. [player_tooltip player_id="342183" first="Lena" last="Rosloniec"] - 6’1 F - 2023 - St. Albert HS Rosloniec really impressed me in the event as she showed quite a bit of versatility. She had the ability to stretch the floor and looked solid shooting from the mid-range out to the perimeter. I thought that her ability to stretch it out gave her defenders fits at times. Rosloniec is one of those players who seems to be able to do all the little things around the rim as well. One of my standout players from the event that I had not seen much of prior to the event. [player_tooltip player_id="311376" first="Savannah" last="Gage"] - 5’9 PG - 2025 - Ankeny HS Gage is a really impressive 2025 who has such a good motor and feel for the game that is quite astonishing. I thought that she did a really nice job of running the offense and she's an excellent passer. She reads the floor extremely well and has shown the ability to make teammates better. When Gage went to the rim it seemed like she was gliding to the rim. She also looks quite a bit taller and filled out from the summer which will really benefit in the long run. [player_tooltip player_id="342210" first="Emma" last="Slings"] - 5’9 PG - 2023 - CR Jefferson HS Slings is one of the best point guards in the state and it all starts with her court vision. At times, it seems like she is playing the game in slow motion with how quickly she can spot open players. There were a few passes that she made the length of the floor that not many other players can make. Slings can shoot the mid-range ball really well but this weekend it was her ability to dominate the game on the ball that stood out the most. - Featured Photo [player_tooltip player_id="63011" first="Makayla" last="Boatman"] - 5’8 SG - 2023 - North Polk HS Boatman is a lengthy scoring guard who can fill up the score sheet when she is on her game. This past Saturday was the most aggressive that I have seen her with the ball and that was great to see. She was able to score at a very fast rate both on jumpers and getting to the rim. She was aggressive in looking for and finding her shot on the floor and I thought that made her really standout. Boatman has a ton of potential as she becomes even more aggressive with the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="63017" first="Makenna" last="Clark"] - 5’8 PG - 2023 - Ankeny Centennial HS Clark has gotten a lot better over the last 6-8 months and it showed at the event tremendously. Anytime she got her defender on her hip she was going to get to the rim and score the ball. I was very impressed with her ability to control the game from the lead guard spot. Defensively, she was really good as she was able to limit her man from scoring pretty seamlessly. With her work ethic I think that she is going to continue to improve her game even more. [player_tooltip player_id="342184" first="Missy" last="Evezic"] - 6’3 C - 2024 - St. Albert HS Evezic is your traditional post player with some versatility. She showed that she understands the game well as she made some really nice post moves with the ball. She didn't get overwhelmed when double teamed and looked quickly to pass the ball out. Evezic has really soft hands and was able to show some some touch around the rim scoring the ball. I was very impressed by her overall ability to get the ball in the basket. A stock riser coming out of the event. [player_tooltip player_id="314138" first="Lucy" last="Scott"] - 5’9 G - 2024 - Lewis Central HS Scott is a really nice wing who can play a few different spots on the floor. She's a player that you can have on the floor and trust to do whatever you need to win the game. She did a really nice job of creating on the wing for both herself and others. At times she was playing more of a guard role and was showing the ability to score and slash at a high level. Scott plays the game very hard and her teammates at times feed off of her energy on the floor.
