These players are some of the best of the best in the talented 2024 class. With rankings time approaching, which players will make the jump?
Kyndal Walker Kyndal Walker 5'9" | PG St. John's College | 2024 State MD – 5’9″ – Combo Guard – St. John’s College
Kyndal has risen to elite status in her second high school season. She is the second leading scorer on one of the area’s top teams. She has put up multiple 20 plus games and is capable at either guard position. The future of the Cadets will certainly build around her.
Jaeda Wilson – 5’9″ – Wing – Holy Child
Holy Child hasn’t been known for their basketball program in recent years but Jaeda makes the Tigers relevant. They may be one to two players aways from sitting at the table with the big names this, however, is not a stretch to see them as contenders by her senior year.
Kendall Dudley Kendall Dudley 6'1" | SF Sidwell Friends | 2024 State MD – 6’2″ – Wing – Sidwell Friends
Kendall was one of, if not the top player coming out of middle school and now a key part of the nation’s top team. She is getting the best of both worlds right now playing with and against the country’s top players and getting top notch coaching and development. She has the size and skillset to be an all-American when she sets to enter college.
Tatum Greene Tatum Greene 6'2" | SF St. John's College | 2024 State MD – 6’2″ – Wing – McDonogh
Tatum is pure speed and athleticism. She has the complete package for a wing. Great length and the ability to hit from beyond the arc should put her as the most sought after player in her class for college coaches. She potentially can be the top player in her class if she stays on her current pace.
Zakiyyah Brown – 5’8″ – Guard – Friendship Collegiate Academy
Zakiayya may not have the name noteriety as some of the other top players in the class, however, talentwise she is on par with the rest of the crew. She can knock down the three and is dangerous in transition. She won’t get the high level of competition during the season but can make up for it during the summer.
Kennedy Umeh Kennedy Umeh 6'4" | C McDonogh | 2024 State MD 6’3″ – Post – McDonogh
Kennedy is a powerful player in the paint with a soft touch around the basket. She can stretch the floor to the high post and start the break with a couple of dribbles to get her team off to the races. Only a sophomore she is one of the top posts players in the area regardless of class.
Taylayah Walker – 5’10″ – Wing – Good Counsel
Taylayah is a good finisher and a solid piece to a resurrected Falcons program. She can make the three and gets to the line frequently where she is a good free throw shooter.
