Tatyana Fields
Tatyana Fields
I like steady progress and development and that’s what I get when I check in on Tatyana. She’s showing more patience and seeing the court better than this time last year. She is very competitive and tough and has improved her ball handling. She used pump fakes and change of direction moves to score against bigger and more athletic players which bodes well for her at the next level. Tatyana is scrappy and active on defense and keeps ball handlers in front of her. She has a strong motor and if she develops her upper body strength, she’ll be a solid pick-up for the next level.
I checked out Monet at Cinco de Mayo and she had both her inside and outside games working. Her long ball looked good coming out of her hands as she knocked down a few threes. She used a step-back move for separation to get if off and used her upper body strength to punish smaller guards in the paint. She’s a natural two-guard but she has enough skill to run the point effectively when needed. She has a good IQ and makes solid decisions.
Highlights
Tough floor general that can make every pass, including accurate post-entries. She can make shots from all over the court and has good instincts. Exceptional on-ball defender and she brings a good level of physicality at the point of attack. She is a transfer from Arizona that should fit right in at Shabach.
Highlights
Another guard that shows constant and steady improvement. Her game is mature beyond her years as she shows poise and confidence at all times on the court. Her jumper looked good from past the three-point line, and she showed off a nice finishing package in the paint. Her speed, quickness and flair make her a must-see attraction.
Arianna has one of the best outside shots in the Baltimore area. She doesn’t have the quickest release, but she has good balance and form and if she’s open she will usually knock down the shot. She’s a good rebounder for her size and has good footwork and balance.
