Jazmin Adams Jazmin Adams 6'1" | PF Putnam City West | 2023 State OK -6’1 C/PF (Choctaw HS) BTR 2023
Adams was called “our anchor” by her club coach and her college-ready frame, her diving on the floor for loose balls, her BATTLING for rebounds on both ends gives her my #THROWBACK hashtag because I love the simple things that can be huge in the scope of a game. Yes, she has good hands and footwork around the basket and yes, she finishes strongly after contact but it doesn’t stop there as she not only handled the ball in the open court and made solid passes, she also dropped the midrange and this was all weekend yet her touch pass dropped the mic
Elle Papahronis Elle Papahronis 5'11" | SF Edmond North | 2023 State OK -6’0 G/F (Edmond North HS) Team Trae Young 2023
Papahonis is “long and athletic” I call that the base and it’s one of the profiles I love to evaluate because when intangibles are added, it gives an idea of what type of player I’m looking at as far as the next level so her finishing off the dribble after contact was nice, so was the pull-up jumper that she knocks down with ease but watching her create it before she drops it with a hand in her face just did it for me, well so did her defense, in the set or open court yet her playing the passing lane had to be the icing on the cake
Allison Heathcock Allison Heathcock 6'0" | SG Edmond North | 2024 State OK -5’11 SG/SF (Edmond North HS) Team Buddy Buckets 2023 [2024]
Heathcock is also long and athletic, that will always be my base and I’m having flashbacks play through my head of her shooting the ball, well catching and shooting to be more specific and with her length, she can get it off whenever she wants. I love the pull-up jumper, on opening night, I wrote deep as in the long ball, day 2 deeper, I use color codes for days and to close it out, VERY DEEP yet she too played the passing lane and she fits a profile college coaches love, big guards that can flat out shoot it
Meredith Mayes Meredith Mayes 6'3" | C Bixby | 2023 State OK -6’2 C (Bixby HS) Team Griffin Elite 2023 Wenli
Mayes moves around the basket are graceful and at times appear to be effortlessly yet I’m not a novice and I see her working before the play develops to get positioning so she can use her “hands and footwork” to overpower in the paint but hold on, she also can score from the wing and with her size, that’s huge as she finishes strongly, this includes after contact. Her timing is also nice, she blocks, alters, and deflects, and let me not leave out she rebounds on both ends
Morgan Borgstadt Morgan Borgstadt 5'11" | SF Verdigris | 2023 State OK -6’0 PG (Verdigris HS) Shock 2023 Diaz
Borgstadt is “the glue” that holds everything together. I love heady point guards that understand the simple things and use them to their advantage but her “thinking the game” to make those around her better is always among the best every time I catch her in action. Yeah, she sees the floor and handles the ball under pressure but let me flip it and include pressure as she’s ICE in the clutch. She drops the mid to long-range with ease, she scores off the dribble and even rebounds and takes it coast to coast
