Continue ReadingAva Casper Ava Casper 5’7″ | SG Holland Hall | 2025 State OK put on a shooting clinic at the showcase. In the first game she did not do a lot, but after that, it was like a microwave. She heated up and never cooled off! When one shot fell, it was followed by several more. Between her second and third games, she made one three after another. This included her showing the ability to knock down shots off of the dribble and to impact the game by scoring at the rim, rebounding the ball, and drawing the foul. Offense was not the only thing she was doing well, as she played with passion on the defensive end of the court. She knew how to utilize a beautiful shot form to perfection.

Katie Allen Katie Allen 5’8″ | SG Mcalester | 2025 State OK impacted the game tremendously with her shooting. In one game, I recorded five three pointers that she made, with one coming off of the dribble. There might have been some that I missed on counting, but five is still an impressive number. Hesitation is something that she does not know about, as she would let it fly without a second thought. That was the only game that I saw her play, but if a sharp shooter is what you are looking for, she should be at the top of your list.
Marleigh Sellars Marleigh Sellars PG Salem | 2024 State AR might have been the best player at the event. She dominated the game in every area, including shooting. She has a passion for the game and to win, which cannot be taught. She knocked down several three pointers and jumpers, as well as off-the-dribble shots and scoring at the rim. Whenever she went to the free-throw line, she didn’t even blink as she knocked them down. Elite two-way player that showed she can be the person to lead a team. Rebounding, offense, and defense are all areas she impacted. She fought for every loose ball and rebound. Some people say that heart outweighs height, which was shown to be true with her. She outrebounded most of the players, which her hustle led to several second chance points. This is a player that should be on radars moving forwards.

Ady Hybl Ady Hybl 5’5″ | PG Norman | 2026 State OK lit up the court with her shooting in her first game, as she knocked down multiple three-pointers. I counted three, but it is very possible that I missed some too. She showed to have a quick release, which helps her get her shot off. Despite only being 5’5, she was able to get multiple rebounds. Two of her offensive rebounds led to second chance points. Outside of shooting and rebounding, she showed flashes of being a playmaker. One play that I remember was that she was doubled around the mid-range area towards the baseline. She remained composed as she delivered a beautiful pass along the baseline to a cutting teammate from the weakside. This resulted in two points for her team and a memorable play for us. She is only a freshman, so it will be exciting seeing the potential that she has moving forwards. It should be something to keep an eye on.
