Both teams have a shot at taking home a league championship because they both have legitimate Player of the Year candidates in Bailey Harris Bailey Harris 5'10" | CG St. Mary's | 2026 State MD (St. Mary’s) and Aryss Macktoon Aryss Macktoon 5'11" | SF St. Timothy's | 2023 State MD (St. Tim’s). St. Mary’s controlled most of the game enroute to a 62-52 road win thanks to a big performance by Harris and some solid contributions from her teammates.
Bailey was a tough cover for anyone from St. Timothys’. She knocked down a couple of three pointers to show her range and made 12 of 13 free throws. She was also a problem on the offensive glass where she scored off put backs. Her quick first step and ability hit mid-range shots, is why she tallied 29 points in this one. The freshman standout already has some big time offers in her bag.
I was impressed with Alexandra’s performance in this one. She provided an inside presence in the paint, mixing it up with St. Tim’s long frontcourt players. and holding her own more often than not. She stretched the floor, knocking down a couple of threes and got to the foul line. She finished with 11 points and probably close to 10 rebounds. She’s a glue type player that makes a lot of hustle plays.

I like Bailey more every time I see her. She set the tone early in the game, handling the press and setting teammates up for easy buckets. She knocked down a couple of early three-pointers, and ran the offense effectively. She finished with 16 points and made good decisions with the ball. Point guard play was the difference in this game and that is a credit to Bailey’s control of the game.
Aryss finished with a game high 33 points in this one and did a little bit of everything. She is arguably the best athlete in the area and St. Mary’s had trouble controlling her like most teams do. She did not get a lot of help in this one, but she competed hard to the final buzzer. She has committed to LaSalle University.
