Continue ReadingBailey Boeve starts us off coming in at the #6 spot in this players rankings update following the 22-23′ high school season. Boeve, a 6 foot power forward, made a big impression this season around the state for her production on the court. As a freshman she started every game for the Blackhawks while averaging 15.3 PPG and 11 RPG. It’s also important to mention that she attempted 140 free throws in 24 games, averaging out to just over 5 free throws per game, displaying her physicality near the hoop. She has a really solid game with good instincts and strength around the basket. She has size and length while also possessing some serious athleticism. She does an efficient job scoring the ball as she shot 55% from the field this past season, leading her team to an overall 20-4 record. Her ceiling is fairly high when you consider all the facts I laid out in front of you, it’ll just come down to which sport she will want to pursue at the end of her high-school career as she also has a promising volleyball career lying ahead after a break out season prior to the basketball year tipping off. Keep an eye out for Boeve going forward as her stock could keep rising at this point.
Hudsyn Ranschau Hudsyn Ranschau 5’8″ | SG Sioux City East | 2026 State IA stepped into her freshman year at Sioux City East with some high personal expectations and she crushed all of them. Ranschau, a quick release shooting guard, lit it up from all over the floor this season to help the Black Pirates to an overall 17-5 record while averaging 12.5 PPG, and 2.3 APG. This season was an “experience” type year for Hudsyn. Stepping into a starting role can bring a lot of pressure and so this season was going to be a big test of how well she could handle it. She proved throughout the year that she was ready for the moment. Every game she showed off an impressive handle, quick yet efficient shot, and an act for getting her hands on a tip or deflection on the defensive end. She has good speed and size for her age with the possibility of a fairly high ceiling by the time she gets to her senior year of high school. She has flashes every game of having an extensive offensive skill-set but at times she seems to settle shooting the ball. I think this previous season’s experience did a good job showing her that in the future, she can be dominate all over the court, not just behind the arc.

Haevyn Ranschau Haevyn Ranschau 5’9″ | SG Rock Valley | 2026 State IA maybe the same size as her sister but she seems to have stepped into more of a forward role for her Sioux City East high school team. Haevyn, the sister of Hudsyn, is a baller of her own and has really moved up as a prospect after the season she just put together. She did a good job this season lighting it up from three while being a terrific rebounder, passer, and creator. Not to mention that she can get hot quickly on the offensive end herself if given the opportunity and on defense she is just as solid. She plays on and off the ball well, does a good job of getting to a spot before her offensive opponent, and communicates well with the players on the floor around her. The thing that I said about Hudsyn above I would also apply to Haevyn. This past season was to get some experience at the varsity level under her belt and moving forward she should be confident in her offensive ability with the willingness to show more and more of that skillset as she gets older. These sisters are legit and should be known in the state of Iowa. When they are determined, no one is stopping either of them.

Averie Lower Averie Lower 5’11” | SG Clear Creek Amana | 2026 State IA came into her freshman season with some promise for the CCA Clippers. Throughout the season she showed more and more that she was going to be a big-time piece to their season this year and for the next few to follow. Lower is a skilled shooting guard. What is most appealing about her game is definitely her size and shooting ability. She possesses great form and consistent balance when shooting wether it be off of a screen, off of the dribble, or just off of a catch-and-shoot in general. When given the eye test, Lower has the ability to be a top ranked prospect out of this class all throughout high school. She has all the physical tools mixed with basketball skill that could already help some programs out there. If she continues to polish her craft, work on the mental part of the game, and practice on the right things in the offseason, I wouldn’t be surprised if she continued to move up on the 2026 class rankings as times goes on. She has a lot of promise and one of the highest ceilings in her class.
