I caught a couple of her games and came away very impressed with Ms. Griffin. She kept constant pressure on the defense by getting into the paint and either attacking the basket or dishing off to teammates. She is very quick and makes good decisions. She’s got the complete bag of scoring tools with deep range way past the three-point line and a nasty mid-range arsenal. She has been rewarded for a strong showing at Nike Nationals with offers rolling in from the likes of Towson, Virginia Commonwealth, UNC-Charlotte, Syracuse, Elon and others.
One of the top players in the DMV, Zania had a tremendous showing at the Cinco De Mayo event. She showed off her versatility by dominating on both ends of the court. She is a match up nightmare as she can put the ball on the floor and blow past bigs, or simply power up over smaller players. She is a shot-blocking machine with excellent instincts and timing, patrolling the paint and serving as a deterrent. She has a nice finishing package around the basket and has picked up several D1 offers. She has excellent length and size and knows how to use it.
Zoe’ Foster
Zoe’ Foster
Zoe’ thrives on contact and loves to move bodies around in the paint. She has great footwork and has mastered establishing a strong pivot and then transitioning into her post moves. Her footwork is excellent and she has a nice touch around the basket. She is a very active defender and can move her feet surprisingly well for her size. She is a vocal leader and has a great feel for the game.
Darielle is running with Team Melo this summer and has been providing solid rotation minutes. She is a bit undersized for what she does, but she is relentless and has solid fundamentals. She is a strong post player with a nice back to the basket game. Her footwork is strong, and she is a good offensive rebounder.
