Katelyn Shtogrin Katelyn Shtogrin 5’1″ | PG Utica | 2025 State MI (PG, 2025) Utica, Mystics
Utica’s 5’1 Katelyn Shtogrin Katelyn Shtogrin 5’1″ | PG Utica | 2025 State MI is a great option at PG. Katelyn is scrappy and tough enough to take a charge: she has guts. She takes the ball strong to the hole and can finish with both hands shooting a layup or floater. Katelyn uses both hands effectively to create offense for herself and teammates, but don’t sleep on her shooting! She catches and shoots with balance, a quick release, and high finish: knock down 3-point shooter. She has great vision and can find teammates in space and make the accurate pass. She is a fantastic prospect with an endless motor, which is why she could be starting for the East squad. Check out how impressive Katelyn was at the Skillcase Prospect All-Stars Showcase.
Keira Roehm Keira Roehm 5’7″ | SG Saline | 2026 State MI (SG, 2026) Saline, Mystics
One outstanding guard for the East team is Keira Roehm Keira Roehm 5’7″ | SG Saline | 2026 State MI . She has possibly the smoothest 3-point shot at DB and in the state. She must have grown up watching Robert Horry highlights because this kid is money when it matters most! Her clutch shooting is well known and she has proven it during the school and travel seasons. Keira can knock down shots off the catch or use a step back dribble to get the shot away. You know what she wants to do (shoot) and still can’t stop her, which is impressive. She has ice in her veins, this hornet stings (buzzer beater), and everyone is looking forward to seeing her compete at the DB. Can anyone from the West team reel her in? Answer to be determined. Allison Hufstedler Allison Hufstedler 5’8″ | SF Oxford | 2025 State MI (5’8, SG/Wing) Oxford, Mystics
Allison is an asset for the East team and may find herself on the court first. Every team needs a lock down defender, jack of all trades kind of player on the court: that’s Huff. She will make outside shots and drive to the basket with the tools to finish at the rim, pull up from mid range, or drive and dish to spot up shooters like Roehm who will bury it. She will rebound like a forward and elevate the team’s defensive intensity. Huff should make life very difficult for the West’s best. Read more content about Allison here.

Larissa Gibson Larissa Gibson 5’9″ | CG Lakeville | 2024 State MI (CG, 2024) Lakeville Memorial
New to the spotlight, Larissa Gibson Larissa Gibson 5’9″ | CG Lakeville | 2024 State MI will be one of the most athletic players on the court. She flies down the floor switching hands and has an effective 3-point shot, but equally impressive downhill game. She hits the hole hard and puts it in a higher gear than her defenders. There are few players who can guard her man to man and it will be interesting to see if the shut down defenders on the West side can keep her contained. Larissa has length and touch to finish from different angles around the rim, but has vision to find open teammates. She will make an impression at this event and from what I’ve observed, she can handle the spotlight. Read more about Larissa here.
Kara Straub (PF, 2026) Grass Lake, Mystics
Good luck defending Grass Lake’s Kara Straub. At 6’0 it’s not just her size that presents problems, but her range. Kara can make 3-point shots, pull up from mid-range, and finish around the rim. She has excellent footwork, utilizes various pivots, and finishes with both hands. Her back to the basket game is effective as she presents a square target with high hands making entry passes easier for the guards. Once she has the ball, she puts the ball down with purpose and explodes to the rim. Kara will be a matchup problem for the West and I’m interested to see who will take on the gigantic task of slowing her down in the post. With green light shooters around the perimeter and Straub battling inside, the East will be a thrill to watch. Read more about Kara from our scouts here.
