Sunday, August 27th, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana hosted its second annual Freshman Showcase. The event, which took place at Fishers High School, included more than 110 registered participants, all from the 2027 class. Fellow writer Jeremy Brooks (PGH Iowa) will be writing a number of follow-up articles from the event as well, but I wanted to focus my time on each team and each young lady who participated in the showcase through a series of articles of my own. Additionally, I would like to thank all of the players, parents, and support staff who made this event a success!

TEAM 7:
#11 - [player_tooltip player_id='748225' first='Reylynn' last='Corley'], Michigan City H.S. - Reylynn is extremely long and wiry. She possesses good end-to-end speed and some quickness, plus she plays with a nice motor. She looks to score mostly off the bounce, and she will defend.

#15 - [player_tooltip player_id='751123' first='Sydney' last='Squires'], Park Tudor H.S. - Sydney is a really nice athlete with good speed and quickness. She plays with a nonstop motor, and she is able to push it in transition as a point guard or play on the wing and act as a scorer.

#17 - [player_tooltip player_id='751081' first='Jordynn' last='Blann'], Bedford North Lawrence H.S. - Really liked what Jordynn brought to the floor. She's not very tall, but she is strong for her size, tough, and plays hard. She has good vision, speed & quickness, and she can shoot it.

#60 - [player_tooltip player_id='751120' first='Shania' last='Curry'], Ben Davis H.S. - Shania is a natural athlete, she has nice bounce to her, plus she can change ends of the floor quickly. She has great length, wiry strength, and she plays with a nice motor. She is also a willing defender.

#604 - [player_tooltip player_id='751110' first='Mya' last='Turner'], Fremont H.S. - Mya is an extremely long and wiry wing. She is a fluid athlete who needs to add some strength, but she also looks like she has some growth left in her. She has skill, but you can tell the best is yet to come.

#614 - [player_tooltip player_id='750766' first='McKenzie' last='Koch'], Eastern Hancock H.S. - I've seen Kenzie for a couple of years, and she has always been an elite PG in this class. She has a nice handle and feel for the game, she can knock down shots, and she is a crafty defender.

#649 - [player_tooltip player_id='751114' first='Olivia' last='Pratcher'], Daleville H.S. - Olivia can step in and be an impact kid for Daleville this year. She has broad shoulders, long arms, and some strength, plus she's a high-motor athlete. She can attack at one end and defend at the other.

#659 - [player_tooltip player_id='751115' first='Payton' last='DuVall'], Franklin Central H.S. - Payton had an outstanding Summer, and she continues to grow. At some point, once she's done growing, strength will benefit her, but she's a skillful post, and she has a very high ceiling.

.

TEAM 8:
#20 - [player_tooltip player_id='751040' first='Arianna' last='Harrington'], North Central H.S. (Indianapolis) - Ari is another really nice athlete with a fairly strong frame and nice length. She plays with good energy, defends with effort, and is always on attack, especially left-handed.

#48 - [player_tooltip player_id='751101' first='Marissa' last='Pleasant'], Marquette Catholic H.S. - Marissa is an absolute bulldog. She has a strong frame, broad shoulders, and an infectious motor. She can finish through contact, she doesn't back down from anyone, and she can run offense.

#57 - [player_tooltip player_id='751125' first='Taylor' last='Mack'], Eastside H.S. - Taylor is a nice, long, fluidly athletic wing prospect. She has a wiry-strong frame, she plays with a nice motor, and she is somewhat smooth with her movements. She showed versatility at both ends of the floor.

#117 - [player_tooltip player_id='751090' first='Laila' last='Scott-Knox'], North Central H.S. (Indianapolis) - Laila is a playmaker, and she is an offensive-minded, scoring point guard. She is another Panther lefty, she can create off the bounce, and she can shoot it with range. She is electric.

#603 - [player_tooltip player_id='751099' first='Mackenzie' last='Collins'], Leo H.S. - Mackenzie is one of those "wait-and-see" kids, because she looks like she is still growing and gaining strength. She has nice length, fluid, smooth athleticism, speed, and she plays with a motor.

#609 - [player_tooltip player_id='751096' first='Lily' last='Burns'], Fishers H.S. - This seems to be the theme of the day, but Lily is another extremely long, wiry, fluid, and bouncy athlete. She was very active, always around the ball, and she tried to play the "right" way with physicality.

#619 - [player_tooltip player_id='751056' first='Emery' last='Cardinal'], Guerin Catholic H.S. - I really like Emery's upside. She has a solid to athletic frame, some length, and she moves fairly well at her size/age. She will likely be more of a '4' than a '5', especially as her skill progresses.
