Breonna Roaf is special with the ball in her hands pushing the tempo and getting to the basket. She has some nice handles getting by her opponents, and she makes smart adjustments as she’s going up for her points. She knows how to slow things down, too, setting up offensive plays getting her teammates involved. She will certainly strip the ball from her opponents creating plays off of these turnovers.
Peyton Harvey is a three level scorer no matter who her competition is. She can set herself up knocking down her shot from beyond the arc, and she knows how to change directions losing her defender to get the open jumper. She will do it all for her teams getting inside for rebounds, and she jumps in front of passes grabbing steals to push the other direction.
Highlights
Alana Hankerson has really found her rhythm with 1 of 1 this year. She knows how to explode to the basket rolling the ball off her fingertips, and she makes plays drawing defenders to her creating space for her teammates. She can certainly pull up for her own shot, and she’s feisty on defense keeping her opponents in front of her blocking their paths to the basket.
Danauje Brooks is super quick with and without the ball constantly getting lost by her defenders. She can knock down her shot all around the perimeter, and she attacks the basket battling against contact when needed. She is sneaky making backdoor cuts getting the pass for the bucket, or she beats her opponents up the court for a fast break. Watching her play truly shows how point guards keep their heads on a swivel.
Highlights
Makenzie Kelly controls the tempo for her team setting up plays and seeing the open lanes. She does a nice job relocating after the pass setting herself up for the open look around the arc, and she has a quick release on her shot making it difficult to defend. She is sure to create some possessions with her defense grabbing steals to make a play going the other direction.
