Ady Jeltema Ady Jeltema 5’11” | PF MOC-Floyd Valley | 2026 State IA of MOC – Floyd Valley High School is a talented wing and she has been having quite the season so far. If you aren’t familiar with Jeltema’s game, it’s versatile. She is the type of player with her size that has the ability to move between the 2, 3, or 4 position on a high school floor. Coming into this Update, Jeltema moves up to our #28 spot. If we are talking about some of the best players in this Class as it pertains to their mixture of size, coordination, and skill, Jeltema would have to be in that conversation. This winter her Dutchman team is sitting with a 10-3 record while she averages 16.3 PPG on 51% shooting, 4.3 RPG, and 1.5 APG. They have a few more weeks to go before it gets to the State Playoffs but at this pace, the Dutchman are going to have a high seed with Jeltema leading the charge. Something I’m excited to see first hand.
The standout for the Burlington Greyhounds girls team the past 1.5 seasons comes in the form of Point Guard/Shooting Guard, Mylee Stiefel Mylee Stiefel 5’5″ | CG Burlington | 2027 IA . Stiefel is an interest prospect. I would describe her game as quick, smooth, and simple. She is very good at scoring the ball against any type of defender or defense, she is willing to pass after she creates off the dribble, and she doesn’t try to over-complicate things. If her opponent is giving her a lane to the basket, she is going to take it and finish the layup or get to the free throw line. If they happen to back off of her, she has the ability to step up and shoot from behind the arc. All in all, Stiefel’s progression the past few years has been noteworthy. If she stays dedicated on this path, she is going to end up with a heck of a high school career to look back on, as well as a future to look forward to on a college court somewhere.

I had the chance to step-in and see Zoe Allen Zoe Allen 6’1″ | PF Williamsburg | 2026 State IA compete this previous off-season for her Iowa Prep AAU team. In each one of those contests, Allen was a dominating force near the rim on both sides of the floor. Offensively, she was screening and sealing to the basket for easy layups, she was grabbing multiple offensive boards a game, and she was cleaning up messes at the rim. Defensively, she was almost just as good. She moved around and demonstrated that she could switch personal throughout a possession, she was disciplined enough to stay down on all shot fakes leading to a tough look at the hoop from her opponent, and she welcomed contact. It’s obvious that Allen has some size at 6’1 and skill to pair along with it. She makes good choices when the ball comes her way and she doesn’t back down from a challenge. Throughout her next 2.5 years, it’s going to be interesting to see where else she can expand her game but from the looks of it, she has a high ceiling.

The Waukee Warriors are having a nice run this season so far because of their veteran roster and quick adapting coaching staff. They are running great offense, playing through the whistle on each possession, and they always give themselves a chance. A prospect that may only be a Sophomore for this group, but who plays a major role is Maryne Szalo Maryne Szalo 5’10” | SF Waukee | 2026 State IA . Szalo is talented in a handful of different ways and she has had that on full display this winter. In simple terms, she has size, skill, and a high IQ. Her natural reach at 5’10, paired with her knowledge of how/when to do certain moves on offense is impressive. To kick off this 2023-2024 season, Szalo is currently averaging 10.1 PPG, 3.6 RPG, and 1 SPG. Considering her team is 10-3 and their other three leading scorers are all college committed, I would say that’s pretty good. This is going to be a group we hear about a few more times before this season comes to a close. If everyone can keep up their production, they are going to be a tough group to beat come Playoff time.
