The ’27 helped end South Doyle’s season with a bang as they won again….having already secured the number 2 seed in the district. Rollins went for 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 three pointers. Consistency is the ultimate compliment…..and PR is already consistency really good. And this South Doyle team, along with the really nice play of teammate Chloe Wade, is playing really really well.
Highlights
Bartlett finishes their regular season undefeated in the district once again. The 6’2 Jr post has been terrific for them all season long as a springy, long, athletic rim protector. She’s in the long lineage of game changing bigs for Bartlett. While Carrington Jones Carrington Jones 5’8″ | CG Bartlett | 2024 State TN is the heart and soul of this team, Ward has turned into a key part of what makes them great (and gives them a shot to matchup with Bradley’s size??).

Hannah Miller Hannah Miller 6’1″ | PF North Greene | 2025 TN is an underrated ’25 that’s been doing big time things all year long. She’s a dynamic kid in her diversity and skill set. She can play as a bruiser on the block, or step away from the rim, face up, and be a playmaker. On Friday, Miller capped her big season with a triple-double: 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. She’s a terrific modern big!!
The Clinton Lady Dragons finished their regular season with a big win over a Meigs team that had won 8 straight. In a hostile road atmosphere (checkout Twitter regarding the boy’s game–ADULTS, PLEASE DO BETTER), Addi Gamble Addi Gamble 5’6″ | SG Clinton | 2026 State TN and Lanee Carmichael Lanee Carmichael 5’10” | C Clinton | 2026 State TN shined again. Gamble started the game with 9 of the teams first 10 points, and finished with 12. Carmichael cleaned up the rest with 14 points as they pulled away in the 4th quarter.
Lol…..I don’t know for certain if Raylee Werner Raylee Werner 5’8″ | SG York Institute | 2026 State TN was irritated by being named 2nd team all district, but she sure played like it Friday night. Werner, typically a kid who’s defense and elite handles shine, exploded for 21 points and 2 three’s. If she can continue to produce like this…York obviously becomes more of a threat to bring home a championship.
Lamya Robertson
Lamya Robertson
A kid a keep hearing be brought up is a freshman at Pearl Cohn: Lamya Robertson. In Friday night’s loss, she scored 19 points, which puts her in the upper-teens several times lately now. On a really good team with a Miss Basketball candidate in Erianna Thomas Erianna Thomas 5’5″ | PG Pearl-Cohn | 2024 State TN (14 points), it’s Robertson that has been hot lately as a scorer. Her coming on really diversifies this team as they head to the post season.

The Washburn Lady Pirates were back at it Friday doing what they do: ’26 Ebany Hill Ebany Hill 5’6″ | SG Washburn | 2026 TN and ’25 Saylor Clay Saylor Clay 5’7″ | PG Washburn | 2025 State TN shooting the lights out. Hill finished with 18, and Clay finished with 17. They remain the duo that’s hit the most 3s in TN according to MaxPreps….and that makes them dangerous every night. Plus they both defend….which gives them a chance to be special.
