Chiefs Roll in First Half:
The host Lady Chiefs were not very friendly guest towards Irmo HS tonight. The Lady Chiefs cruised to a 26-0 lead at the halftime break. North Myrtle Beach HS would end up winning 53-21 to advance to the 2nd round on Friday vs Bluffton. The Lady Chiefs move to (18-7) while Irmo HS finishes the season at (10-12).
Freshmen Future:
Madison Vereen Madison Vereen 5'11" | PG North Myrtle Beach | 2027 State SC had a solid showing for the Lady Chiefs here tonight. Vereen was able to slash and score on the break all night long for the Lady Chiefs. Vereen finished the night with 17 points in the win.
Abby Livingston Abby Livingston 5'3" | PG Irmo | 2027 State SC is a crafty and savvy point guard for the Irmo HS Lady Yellow Jackets. Livingston plays every possession like it’s her last one on the floor. Abby was able to pick up some deflections in the passing lanes with her quick hands. Livingston finished with 10 points. Elaina Whalen Elaina Whalen 5'8" | SF Irmo | 2027 State SC is part of the future of the Irmo HS program. She finished with 6 points.
Farmer Region Player of The Year:
Junior Faith Farmer Faith Farmer 5'7" | SG North Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC recently was named All-State for her play this season for the Lady Chiefs. Farmer led the way tonight with 26 points in the win. Faith did her damage with jumpers and getting to the foul line. She tends to play better off the ball with her play. Farmer understands on how to move without the ball in her hands and get open on the floor.
Post Players Make Big Impact:
Claire Howard Claire Howard 6'3" | C Irmo | 2026 State SC is an intriguing prospect moving forward for the Lady Yellow Jackets. Howard has legit size down on the block and a great set of hands to catch anything thrown in her direction. She can finish with both hands around the cup. Howard and the Lady Yellow Jackets have some pieces moving forward for the future at Irmo HS.
Nevaeh Washington Nevaeh Washington 5'10" | C North Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC does all the little things in the paint area. Washington plays the game with a blue-collar mindset. She likes to play on contact and really does a nice job of keeping the ball up after claiming it off the glass. Nevaeh has quick feet to move around the block and has no problems playing aggressive.
Summerville vs St James HS (Murrells Inlet)
The Lady Sharks of St James had to go down to Summerville HS to visit the Lady Green Wave. Summerville HS prevailed here in this opening round Class 5A Playoff game 43-23. The Lady Green Wave were led in scoring by Molly Daugherty Molly Daugherty 5'10" | SF Summerville | 2025 State SC and Madison Thomas Madison Thomas 5'10" | SG Berkeley | 2026 State SC both with 9 points. Summerville HS will now face Dutch Fork HS in the 2nd Round.
Carolina Forest HS vs Fort Dorchester HS
The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Patriots at home last night 49-30 to advance to the 2nd Round vs Goose Creek HS. Emerie Davis Emerie Davis 5'9" | PF Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC led the way for Carolina Forest HS with 29 points. Davis was a force and relentless all night long around the paint area. Sophomore Miracle Mclean Miracle Mclean 6'2" | C Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC finished with 12 points in the win. The Lady Panthers move to (17-7) on the year.
Junior Cailah Tucker Cailah Tucker 5'8" | SF Fort Dorchester | 2025 State SC finished with 12 points while Kai Mack Kai Mack 5'11" | PF Fort Dorchester | 2025 State SC added 9 points for Fort Dorchester HS in the loss. The Lady Patriots finish the season at (12-12).
