Sectional week has concluded, and now it's on to the Regional round. This is the second consecutive year where there is a single Regional game for each team, with next week's Semi-State requiring two wins in a day to make it to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. While brief, below is a look at the eight Regional games in Class 3A throughout the state. All statistics provided here have been pulled from each school's MaxPreps page, so if your stats are not represented here, your team's MaxPreps page has not been updated by your coach/school.

Game #1: Hanover Central (17-7) vs. Bremen (14-11), 4:00 p.m. ET

Preview: Even though these teams don't play each other in the regular season, this could shape up to be a tight game. Hanover Central has been gearing up for this chance, centered around a strong 2024 class of guards. The Wildcats have an experienced group, led by Emmi Doty (8.5p, 3.5r, 1.6a, 2.3s), [player_tooltip player_id='718306' first='Skylar' last='Ferry'] (6.7p, 2.5r, 2.9a, 3.2s), and Gabi Comia (6.9p, 4.6r, 1.9a, 3.5s). 6-0 Sophomore Sienna Stilley (8.5p, 4.2r, 1.4s) also had a nice season for Hanover Central and offers them size inside. Bremen plays a rather tough schedule, so their record is a bit deceiving. They won a competitive Sectional in which they avenged an early season loss to Tippecanoe Valley. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='570388' first='Kila' last='Foster'] (17.8p, 3.8r, 1.4a, 2.3s), plus Sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='434719' first='Eliana' last='Grubbs'] (11.2, 6.2r, 3.3a, 1.9s) and [player_tooltip player_id='1131960' first='Emma' last='Kincaid'] (10.3p, 4.4r, 2.1a, 1.6s), are all capable of stepping up for the Lions. Our Pick: Bremen, 45-42.

Game #2: New Prairie (20-5) vs. NorthWood (19-6), 7:00 p.m. ET

Preview: Despite being 45 minutes apart, these two schools haven't played since 2013. New Prairie began this season 9-0 and 13-1. They run good offense and have a trio of Seniors who can score the ball from all three levels. NorthWood won the 3A State title in 2020, had a couple of tough seasons, but now they're back in the running with a combination of size and solid guard play. For New Prairie, Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='326487' first='Jayden' last='Flagg'] (14.3p, 3.3r, 4.7a, 2.3s), [player_tooltip player_id='825922' first='Jolie' last='Johns'] (12.6p, 5.6r, 2.1a, 2.3s), and [player_tooltip player_id='331818' first='Morgan' last='White'] (12.1p, 3.8r, 3.0a, 2.5s) are talented enough to carry the Cougars, but it would benefit them to have other contributors step up as well. NorthWood leans on Junior [player_tooltip player_id='570370' first='Claire' last='Payne'] (10.0p, 10.8r, 1.6s, 1.3b) and Senior Joselyn Edwards (9.5p, 3.0r, 1.0a, 1.0s) to present a nice inside-out duo with experience. Junior Haylee Heflin (7.2p, 2.3r, 1.5a, 1.5s) is another option for the Black Swish. Our Pick: New Prairie, 45-42.

Matchup: Hamilton Heights (23-2) vs. Woodlan (18-8), 1:00 p.m. ET

Preview: Hamilton Heights has put together one of their best seasons in program history, led by Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='177352' first='Camryn' last='Runner'] (27.2p, 5.7r, 2.7a, 4.1s) and [player_tooltip player_id='298256' first='Ella' last='Hickok'] (9.5p, 3.4r, 4.4a, 2.5s), plus Junior Katie Brown (9.0p, 2.0r, 2.3s), the Huskies are looking to make a deep run this postseason. Runner is an Indiana All-Star candidate and a tough matchup for any opponent. Woodlan has a nice frontline with length, skill, and talent. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='264114' first='Taylor' last='Kneubuhler'] (14.0p, 6.6r, 2.0a, 1.2s), Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1038858' first='Alyssa' last='Anderson'] (11.8p, 10.6r, 1.2a, 1.2s, 1.1b), and Junior [player_tooltip player_id='828030' first='Brooke' last='Kneubuhler'] (9.9p, 3.5r, 4.0a, 2.2s) make up a majority of their scoring and rebounding. As long as Heights is completing the simple plays, they could run away with this one due to their superior perimeter play. Our Pick: Hamilton Heights, 57-38.

Matchup: Benton Central (25-3) vs. Norwell (20-4), 4:00 p.m. ET

Preview: These two teams met in the Class 3A Regional Final in both 2020 and 2021, splitting the pair of games. Both teams are Senior-laden, with some nice ballplayers in those groups to boot. Benton Central gets strong play from Senior post [player_tooltip player_id='176407' first='Sarah' last='Gick'], plus Senior wings [player_tooltip player_id='369829' first='Sienna' last='Foster'] and [player_tooltip player_id='718318' first='Rachel' last='Tolen'] have multiple years of experience and can knock down shots plus defend effectively. Senior Ellie Wetli and Junior Avery Hardebeck take on backcourt duties for the Bison, and they are capable of producing if left alone. Norwell looks to the combination of Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='264113' first='Kennedy' last='Fuelling'], [player_tooltip player_id='331809' first='Makenzie' last='Fuess'], and [player_tooltip player_id='718310' first='Dekota' last='Hubble'], plus Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='732354' first='Vanessa' last='Rosswurm']. Fuelling is an elite shooter/scorer, while Fuess is a high-motor, tough-nosed point guard for the Lady Knights. I would expect for these two teams to have quite the battle, and both are capable of playing well-beyond this weekend. Our Pick: Benton Central, 51-50 in overtime.

Matchup: Danville (22-3) vs. Speedway (16-7), 4:00 p.m. ET

Preview: These teams met a little over a year ago, and Danville holds a 9-4 advantage in the last 20 years. The Warriors look to be a team to beat in all of Class 3A, so Speedway could have their hands full. Danville's attack starts with Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='295784' first='Emma' last='Ancelet'] (14.8p, 6.1r, 6.5a, 3.2s) and [player_tooltip player_id='626931' first='Addison' last='Davis'] (12.9p, 7.0r, 1.8a, 2.6s). They get support from Sophomore Maddy Wethington (9.9p, 1.8r, 1.8s). They can also go as far as ten deep and wear opponents out, if need be, but unfortunately 6-0 Senior [player_tooltip player_id='201882' first='Kooper' last='Stone'] (8.0p, 3.8r, 2.5a, 1.9s in 8 games) was lost early in the season to an injury. The Sparkplugs lean on Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='572819' first='Alex' last='DeLisle'] (12.7p, 8.6r, 1.6a, 2.3s) and [player_tooltip player_id='825947' first='Daniella' last='Galvez'] (11.2p, 6.6r, 2.9a, 2.7s). 6-0 Junior Genesis Austin (6.0p, 4.4r, 1.0s) provides a post presence for Speedway as well. I would expect Danville to use transition and its perimeter players to create mismatches throughout the game. Our Pick: Danville, 53-29.

Matchup: Indian Creek (21-4) vs. Bishop Chatard (18-8), 4:00 p.m. ET

Preview: Indian Creek and Chatard met in 2019, 2022, and 2023, with Chatard taking two of the three. Last season, however, was Indian Creek's turn, winning 76-47. Indian Creek still has a mismatch nightmare in 6-4 Senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='201885' first='Faith' last='Wiseman'] (18.2p, 11.9r, 4.6a, 1.9s, 3.7b). Her skill and athleticism at her size allow her to do things other girls just can't. Add to Wiseman the backcourt duo of Senior [player_tooltip player_id='239346' first='Lauren' last='Foster'] (16.4p, 4.4r, 5.5a, 2.5s) and Junior [player_tooltip player_id='506021' first='Ayla' last='Lollar'] (11.3p, 1.6r, 2.9a, 2.6s), and that trio can be nearly unstoppable at times. Chatard does have talent, though it is somewhat young. 6-0 Junior post [player_tooltip player_id='692233' first='Anna' last='Caskey'] (11.8p, 10.9r) is the leader of the pack at this point, and she has had some big games in big moments. 5-11 Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='832685' first='Olivia' last='Berzai'] (11.8p, 6.0r, 2.6a, 2.3s) has been a star at times as well. Fellow Sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='486530' first='Alyx' last='Kendall'] (6.5p, 4.1r), and [player_tooltip player_id='486534' first='Betsy' last='Tragesser'] (5.6p, 3.4r, 4.0a, 1.4s), plus Seniors Addison Duncan (6.8p, 2.0r, 1.6a, 1.8s) and Quinn Johnson (6.5p, 2.0r, 1.2a), have really clicked for the Trojans, who will attempt to use their depth to their advantage. I think Indian Creek still has the advantage; however, I don't think it will be a 29-point difference like last season. Our Pick: Indian Creek, 52-44.

Matchup: Washington (22-4) vs. Gibson Southern (22-4), 1:00 p.m. ET

Preview: Washington and Gibson Southern continue to stack fantastic season on top of fantastic season in Southwest Indiana. They met just a few weeks ago with Gibson Southern winning, 62-42. Washington possesses really nice size and skill, but a lot of their talent lies in the Sophomore and Freshman classes, however Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1122709' first='Kenna' last='Garland'] (9.2p, 1.3r, 1.3s), [player_tooltip player_id='324075' first='Olivia' last='Gilley'] (6.6p, 4.8r, 1.2a), and [player_tooltip player_id='767081' first='Aubrey' last='Frank'] (7.4p, 3.0r, 3.2a, 1.2s) are all capable contributors who can step up. 6-1 Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='486519' first='Katie' last='Reed'] (13.2p, 6.3r, 1.3b) is the player to stop, though, plus Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='486476' first='Shaylyn' last='Hawk'] (8.2p, 3.7r, 1.3a, 1.6s) is a dangerous perimeter threat for the Hatchets. Gibson Southern counters with plenty of talent of their own, and a strong backcourt in Junior [player_tooltip player_id='295774' first='Gabby' last='Spink'] (19.5p, 4.8r, 5.9a, 2.2s) and Senior [player_tooltip player_id='177324' first='Chloey' last='Graham'] (17.2p, 3.7r, 1.8a, 2.3s). Both are capable of 30-point games. 6-1 Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='756247' first='Paige' last='Schnaus'] (9.0p, 5.7r) has also put together a nice rookie campaign and gives them quite a presence in the paint, while Junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='506027' first='Nola' last='Ravellette'] (6.1p, 4.2r, 1.1a, 1.0s) adds to the perimeter firepower. Our Pick: Gibson Southern, 56-47.

Matchup: Greensburg (21-4) vs. Scottsburg (21-4), 4:00 p.m. ET

Preview: Wow! This might end up being the most entertaining game of the day anywhere in the state. Both of these 'burgs can score the ball in different ways, both are hard to guard, but both are also well-coached and capable of defending at a high level. Greensburg is looking like it is full-strength with the return of Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='295779' first='Mylie' last='Wilkison'] (15.0p, 4.8r, 1.6a, 2.7s in 13 games)...she missed the middle portion of the season. 6-1 Junior [player_tooltip player_id='295778' first='Leah' last='West'] (17.7p, 6.8r, 1.5a) is their go-to player, while 6-1 Senior [player_tooltip player_id='825958' first='Carlee' last='Adams'] (7.4p, 3.0r, 1.3a) combines with West to provide a real presence and a problem inside for the Pirates. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='479613' first='Alyson' last='Powers'] (12.1p, 3.6r, 4.0a, 1.7s), Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='751051' first='Claire' last='Larrison'] (9.5p, 6.9r, 3.0a, 2.3s), and Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='486506' first='Mary' last='Harmon'] (5.4p, 4.3r, 2.9a, 1.2s) form a strong backcourt with Wilkison at its leader. Scottsburg can absolutely counter with Junior guards [player_tooltip player_id='295802' first='Ellie' last='Richardson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='496047' first='Lola' last='Fouts'], plus Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='298262' first='Carrie' last='Hiler']. That trio absolutely fills it up from the outside, and with deep range at times. They can also all handle it and create offense for others. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='626930' first='Katrina' last='Cooper'] and Senior Taneisha Griffin rebound and defend inside the paint with athleticism and skill. Our Pick: Greensburg, 52-49.
