The talent in the girls game here in the Palmetto State looks to be very good in the years to come. Let’s take a look at some more players from this weekend we saw while in attendance. SUBSCRIBE today to stay on top of all the action right here in South Carolina.
Class of 2028:
Taelor Lee-Sutton Taelor Lee-Sutton 5'4" | PG W G Sanders M.S. / Keenan | 2028 SC can really get the ball to the bucket in a hurry with her game. Taelor sees the floor so well already for her young age. She can get the ball downhill or simply attack the cup in transition. Taelor was able to knockdown some jumpers here today for Team Curry in a easy win Prep Girls Hoops was able to watch. Lee-Sutton plays at Keenan HS.
London Wakefield London Wakefield 5'8" | SF Berea M.S. | 2028 SC plays up at Berea M.S. outside of Greenville. London was able to ball to the basket on several occasions today with her for the SC Lady Sixers . Wakefield played with a fearless mindset this weekend.
Class of 2027:
Tianah Hopper Tianah Hopper 5'11" | SF Gaffney | 2027 State SC is very skilled for her age when it comes to handling the rock, passing the ball and finishing down low. She does a nice job of stuffing the stat sheet every game for the SC Eagles . Tianah plays the game very unselfish almost too a fault at times it seems. She does a nice job of using the old school bounce pass which is a lost art these days. Tianah plays at Gaffney HS in the Upstate.
Palmetto Pressure picked up a big win over Team Curry 16U Rise here today at Legacy Early College. The Charleston area-based team received strong play from Amani McCray Amani McCray 5'7" | SF Berkeley | 2027 State SC and Imani Levey Imani Levey 5'10" | C Berkeley | 2027 State SC . The duo from Berkeley HS played inside-out here today and were both active on the glass on both ends of the floor. Jaliaya Jacobs Jaliaya Jacobs 5'5" | CG Goose Creek | 2027 State SC took care of things out op at times with her play making skills. Jacobs plays at Goose Creek HS.
Emma Elliott Emma Elliott 5'6" | SG West Ashley | 2027 State SC scored 14 points in a win over the Tennessee Shooters. Elliott a guard played this past season at West Ashley HS. Elliott is running with Charleston Raptors . Elliott was playing both guard spots this weekend for the Raptors.
Jurnee Blye Jurnee Blye 5'11" | PF Carvers Bay | 2027 State SC brings a blue-collar mentality to the floor every time she plays. She certainly leaves it all out on the floor. Jurnee does her best work inside the paint and playing through contact. She has no problems jumping on the deck for a loose ball at any time. Jurnee plays with the South Carolina Future Grassroots program. She attends Carvers Bay HS down in Georgetown County.
Kiley Freeman Kiley Freeman 5'5" | PG Chapin | 2027 State SC and Madison Vereen Madison Vereen 5'11" | PG North Myrtle Beach | 2027 State SC are two of Blye’s teammates here for the South Carolina Future 15U team. Freeman a left-handed point guard hails from Chapin HS while Vereen plays down at Norh Myrtle Beach HS. Freeman really likes to change speeds with the ball in her hands. She does a nice job of turning the corner and racing to the basket.
Vereen brings versatility to the floor for the green and black squad here today. Madison was playing down in the post out of necessity but seems to be most comfortable out on the perimeter. These two players along with Blye will help the South Carolina Future 15U program win several games this Grassroots season.
Jada Rogers Jada Rogers 6'3" | C Hampton County | 2027 SC is a new name for the database moving forward. Rogers a center from Hampton County HS plays up with the South Carolina Future 16U Rise squad. Jada a true post player with her back to the basket is still a RAW talent.
