Begick was a star over the weekend with her Michigan Mystics 15u S40 squad. Her jumper was on display at the April Showers Classic. Begick was tough to close out on as she stayed focused on the rim and shot over the top. She really forces very high hands. Begick is a solid defender that can cut off dribble paths and get in passing lanes with her length.

Foster is hands down one of the top point guards in the state. She certainly looked like a D1 floor general in Pittsburgh playing up with the Michigan Storm. She’s playing up, plus she’s young for her grade as is. Foster is not only good, but her upside is ridiculous. She sees the floor and can throw every type of pass imaginable. This past weekend she showed off the ability to push the pace with the pass and hit a teammate on the move with an accurate down the floor feed. Foster was seen feeding the post and dumping it off to open teammates off the bounce.

Adalyn Jarchow
Jarchow is a name that scouts and college coaches are going to want to have in the front of their notebook. She turned heads and sent a message with her play this weekend. Jarchow showed off a nice jumper that was so smooth off the catch and shoot. And we all saw that she already has range that extends well beyond the arc. Jarchow can handle the ball with a smooth change of direction and can find her teammates with an accurate touch pass.
McClain had one of the best all around weekends of any player in the state. She was a highly influential forward for the Michigan Storm at the the WPA Bruins Tip Off. McClain was very impressive with her ability to attack the lane off the catch, take 2 dribbles and finish on the right side of the rim. It was like she was 2 steps ahead of the defense. McClain was great on both ends of the floor as well. She timed her opponents shots and sent them back with authority, usually not even letting the ball get in the air.
We’ll continue the Storm theme. It’s not about numbers or even skill sets with McQueen last weekend. Those are all there and at an elite level, but it was the things that may not show up on the stat sheet that wowed me. McQueen showed a ton of toughness and a willingness to win hustle points. She was pulled off the floor by her teammates on multiple occasions because went that extra inch to make a play. McQueen has the strength to match that toughness as well.
