Gym Rats at Queen of the Rock

Originally in Toledo, Ohio, the event has now shifted to Fort Wayne, Indiana. With several strong programs in attendance, there were a number of ladies who played well. After highlighting several of the standouts from Saturday &amp; Sunday, I wanted to circle back and take a look at additional key performers from each of the main Indiana programs in attendance. Below is a look at several prospects from the Nike Lady Gym Rats program. She is all over the floor, whether it's hounding the opposing ball-handler or making plays for her teammates offensively. She does a nice job of attacking, getting into gaps, and finding her teammates or finishing herself. She is a capable scorer, but what she has done well this Spring is facilitate. She's another guard who gets into gaps with ease, changes directions, and gets defenses off-balance. Brooklyn has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she can either attack the basket North/South for scores, or she can knock down the outside jumper. She is incredibly long, wiry, and fluidly athletic, plus she has some bounce to her. She has face-up skill as well and can knock down an open jumper, both in the mid-post and around the arc. But she is a talented athlete and has skill around the perimeter. This Spring she has done a lot more damage from 15 to 22-feet, and she is aggressively looking to score it off the bounce from the perimeter. She flies around the floor using her athleticism, including some bounce, and she makes plays mostly off of that athleticism. She can defend bigger guards, wings, and forwards, plus she can drive it from the arc or the mid-post and finish around the basket. She is strong for her height, tough-nosed, and aggressive at both ends of the floor. Offensively, she loves to attack the basket and score or find open teammates. Defensively, she can pick up full-court and hound opposing ball-handlers. She has enough strength to play to her height and battle inside, but she is also fairly skilled with the ball and projects to be more of a wing long-term. For now, she is highly effective as a mid-post scorer, rebounder, and defender, plus she plays with a nice motor.
