It was another outstanding weekend of basketball action on the PGH Circuit as the Midwest Extravaganza was held near Chicago. I focused on the 15U age group and here is my all-tournament team from the teams I saw and who had their roster available.

[player_tooltip player_id='879727' first='Yanni' last='Smith'] - Midwest Elite Meanstreets EYBL

Yanni has so much talent, it was great to see her game last weekend! The first thing I noticed is how quickly she anticipates the game, and she can see things before they happen. Reads the floor very well, and is so athletic. She is a true playmaker who contributes to the game in so many ways. Plays well at both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='766304' first='Paige' last='Andernacht'] - [program_tooltip program_id='714272' first='Iowa' last='Battlers'] S40

Paige is an impressive rising player who has a good physical frame and can handle the physical battles. Nice touch in the paint. Excellent footwork, knows what to do with the ball. Love this kids energy and her game!!! As she gains experience, I look for her game to blossom at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='861183' first='Zoe' last='Black'] - [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 3SSB

Zoe dropped 13 in a huge 2 point win against the Meanstreets. Good vocal leader on the floor, solid defender both on and off ball. She was able to lead the break, plays very well north to south. Aggressive player with good court sense and a high basketball IQ. Zoe makes good decisions with the ball and was a key part of their teams success.

McKayla Ledsworth - Della Lamb 3SSB

If you watch her play, there's no way you could guess she's in middle school, and she's two years younger than this age group. This 2029 comes off the screens really well, can shoot the three. Defensively she is everywhere, play well above her years and is the consummate floor leader. The teams in the Kansas City area will have their hands full with her the next several years.

[player_tooltip player_id='741754' first='Aaliyah' last='Flores'] - [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] UA

Aaliyah dropped 20 in her first game of the weekend and a big win against [program_tooltip program_id='715556' first='Illinois' last='Dream']. One of the most skilled players I saw this weekend, she is so athletic with a great knowledge of the game already, even being a freshman. The sky is the limit for her. She turns mistakes into points, can pressure you and harass you the entire game.

Ceirya Hicks- KBD Basketball 2027

She will be heading to Summit Country Day in Cincinnati this fall, and has a tremendous basketball IQ for her age. She heads into her freshman season with a great shot and has handles to run the show and should make an impact immediately at the high school level. She did score a lot this weekend, knocking down threes and getting to the rim.

Carly Mcdonald - [program_tooltip program_id='714232' first='Pink' last='Elite'] Regional 2027

Nice quick jumper and smooth release from behind the arc. In the game that I saw Sunday morning, she was able to create shots not only with a jumper, but she was able to create at the rim. Pretty fundamental defensively, gets into position to make plays and force mistakes. In my one viewing, she seemed to be their most consistent player.
