Nazareth will be starting this season off a point guard short with last year's graduating class, but Molly will be able to fill that role with her own impact. She is a glue piece type of prospect that can make any program better, simply because the kid has no ego. When her number is called, she does her job with 100% effort and no lack of energy. She will be a big factor for the Roadrunners this season.

Richwoods has added a hell of a player in Kayla, and she is going to be a problem for every guard in her conference. This kid is full of aggression, skill, and knows how to make those around her better. It wouldn't be a far fetched idea of her making an all-state team this year... she's that talented. Richwoods will be a team to watch as the season begins.

There should be some attention towards Yorkville this season, and a big part of that is Aubrey. The area she's in might have her float under the radar, but talent is talent no matter where it is, and this kid has talent. She's longer than her height might show, and even though her skillset is simple, it lets me know that she's comfortable and confident at her own pace. A player to follow this year for sure.

Trinity will be a lot to handle this season, and a player who will be causing a lot of those problems is Destiny. She is a guard who can be your focal point or a key piece to a puzzle. She can score at the rim and beyond, she can defend guards that are bigger, and she has strong vision to simply be a playmaker if the scoring isn't going her way. A key factor for a successful season that Trinity should have.

Locke has a natural rhythm and instinct in her game that sets her apart from others in her class, and this will only continue to grow. She was one of the standout players for her AAU team this year, and even during the high school live period, she put on a shooting clinic. Most of Loyola's talent is young, so Locke should be taking on more of a leadership role this season. A big year is likely ahead for her.

Thulin has emerged as one of the more highly coveted prospects in this class over the past year, and the offers are starting to stack up. She has always seemed to be a leader in the Downers Grove program, but as an upperclassman, more responsibilities will follow, and she's up for the task. This could definitely be an all-state nomination type of year.

Stepping into their first year as upperclassmen, these players now move into bigger roles and higher expectations. Here are a few I'll be watching closely as they take that next step.
