Over the spring, we saw a host of players. Countless players showed vast improvement from last summer to the high school, and from high school to the spring travel season. In this article we hilight some of the prospects who are on the rise and emerging from under the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='914241' first='Makiya' last='Trusel'] (cover) was really impressive at the Candace Dupree tournament and played well during the live period according to the reports and the attention she is garnering. Trusel was impressive last year during summer ball and she is even better now. Trusel has the ability to shoot the ball off the bounce or catch and she can shoot it from any level. What is also impressive is her commitment to playing on both ends of the court. Trusel is quick, fast, has active hands , and is very aggressive on the court. That formula equates to steals and more steals. Trusel is a player to watch during the high school live period where she is slated to be the leader of her high school team.

[player_tooltip player_id='495953' first='Jiyah' last='Hamilton'] has played well this Spring AAU season and looking forward to seeing her this Summer with her high school team. Hamilton plays well in transition, shoots the three well, and has a flare for coming up big in the big moments. Hamilton attacks the rim and does a good job of drawing fouls and getting to the freethrow line. Hamilton also runs the point and can pass the ball and set up her teammates for quality shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='783627' first='Dominique' last='Boone'] is another player who caught a lot of attention recently in Wesley Chapel. What catches the attention is her length and then her athleticism. Boone can score, defend, and can rebound the basketball. Boone was a standout last year at The ENG showcase and her skillset is undeniable. Boone has the ability to get to the rim and with her length she can score over bigs and absorb contact when necessary. Boone can also handle the ball, lead the break, and score in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='248555' first='Trista' last='Brown'] played well during the live period and showed the things that made her the talk of summer ball last season. Brown is versatile and can run the point or play the shooting guard position. Brown can shoot the three and she is one of those players who can score the three in bunches.

[player_tooltip player_id='908911' first='Elise' last='Horne'] played well at Candace Dupree Invitational and followed that with an impressive live period. Horne is tough on the block and that is where she operates. Horne gets good position, has soft hands and can finish around the basket. She is relentless on the offensive glass and gets a lot of her points off of putbacks. Horne was instrumental in the State Championship game with her strong play in the paint, timely rebounds, and scores around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='370059' first='Nacoya' last='Blocton'] played well at the Candace Dupree Invitational showcasing a lot of versatility. She is one of the few power forwards who handles the ball in transition, initiates offense like a point guard, and posts up bigs on the blocks. Blocton can step out on the wing and knock down the three, and can get downhill off the dribble.
