Kawehi is a strong and physical player. She mainly gets her points from quick moves in the post. She doesn’t waste time, she gets it and goes up with it. She is also capable of putting it on the floor to make a few quick dribbles, getting all the way to the basket. She has quick enough feet to guard any position on the floor. She will spend her time in the paint though, rebounds, defensively and lots of 2nd chance points from offensive boards. She is strong and physically ahead of most any player in the class of 2027. She can be rugged on the block, while also having the finesse to get to the lane and score. She was the recipient of quite a few dimes from

under the hoop for easy conversions. She was named the tournament MVP but that could have went to either her or Collins. You have to like the physicality and toughness of both of those players.
Kessa was the 3rd player selected to the all tournament team for Sumner after they won it. She has a role and that would be to knock down open threes. However, she was a consistent player on the perimeter, helping out with some of the ball handling when Collins would get a lot of attention. Kessa did fine, and the is a bit more athletic than you may think. She hit some deep threes, some mid-range shots with a soft touch. She isn’t a bad 3rd option and has shown improvements in being more than just a knock down shooter. Rebounds were part of how she was able to help out too. She’ll need to help out when teams apply pressure on Collins and she did in the tournament. An important piece if Sumner wants a shot at being a state tournament contender. that will give teams all they can handle. Benthin does a lot of the ball handling, setting up the offense, and lots of times she doesn’t need to, she just blows by the defense for buckets or assists.

is a great player, she will garner a lot of attention from teams, but Benthin will be able to make sure that isn’t always the best idea. Considering her ability to get buckets from all levels. Uusitalo had a monster season last year, Benthin will keep teams honest. Plus she has some excellent court awareness, finding open shooters and dumping off for layups. Long story short. If she isn’t a 1st team all league player next season, even in the running for league MVP, I ain’t watching what they are. She is a top 3 in the class of 2027. I’d say #2 behind

Watched her explode for 36 points vs Glacier Peak. She was dropping threes off the dribble from deep, hitting them when left open. That’s almost automatic. Is she just a shooter? No, she made a step back pull-up J, one going each way that shows how tough she will be to contain. She sometimes will use some patience with the dribble until she gets a high ball screen or finds an opening. I’d give her those opportunities often. She doesn’t dribble for the sake of dribbling. She has a plan most times and the more she adds to her arsenal, the more she will start pulling offers in. She is tough as well and got some shots going to the basket, and earned trips to the line. She continues to put it all together, she will be tough next season. She has

as a talented backcourt mate who handles the ball most of the time. Ava is quick and can be tough to keep in front. Also capable of putting up big numbers. The better these two work together, that makes Murphy a contender.
