After a Spring of regional qualifying tournaments along the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit, grassroots teams took to the court this weekend at the finals in one of three regions...the Dynasty Region, the Legacy Region, and the Victory Region. I attended the Legacy Region Finals this weekend, hosted by the Community First Champion Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. This article highlights who I felt best represented the 16U Division. The All-Tourney Team consists of two players from the championship team, plus one player from the runners-up, and one player from each of the other two teams who made it to the Final Four. I then added two additional "wild card" slots for the best two remaining players from any team. Below the All-Tourney Team is one Honorable Mention selection from each team.

16U All-Tourney Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='767257' first='Kylie' last='Butler'], 2026, [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] National
- Kylie was solid on Day-1, but I felt like she really stood out on Day-2. She was aggressive to the basket, got to the rim and finished, plus she earned a few and-1s. She showed nice touch from the perimeter, plus her handle is dynamic and she was able to put pressure on defenders each time she caught it.

[player_tooltip player_id='515689' first='Megan' last='Doughty'], 2026, [program_tooltip program_id='774653' first='Minnesota' last='Bobcats']-1
- Megan is a long, wiry-strong, fluid, and bouncy athlete. She definitely affects the game with her unique athleticism, but she also has a balanced skillset. She can put it on the floor and attack the basket North/South, she has nice touch outside, but she's also willing to be physical and get inside to rebound/defend.

[player_tooltip player_id='502567' first='Jazmyn' last='Hooks'], 2026, [program_tooltip program_id='774653' first='Minnesota' last='Bobcats']-1
- Jazmyn is kind of the Swiss Army Knife for this team, if you will. She is a strong, physical perimeter player who can play multiple positions. She can handle the ball and initiate the offense, she can score it at the basket or from the outside, and she's willing to defend a variety of players, even battle "bigs" underneath.

[player_tooltip player_id='667016' first='Kamryn' last='Lecce'], 2026, [program_tooltip program_id='715376' first='D.F.' last='Elite']
- One thing consistent about Kamryn's game from day to day is that she is always going to bring energy. She is long, wiry, and bouncy. She plays with a great motor, she is more physical than she looks, but she also has a solid handle and a nice touch from the perimeter. Defensively, she deflects/steals a number of passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='751285' first='Taressa' last='Hennes'], 2027, Playground Elite Purple 15U
- For a young prospect, Taressa has quite the nose for the ball. Whether she's in your line of sight or not, somehow, she ends up with her hands on each rebound. She is extremely long and bouncy, plus she has a unique ability to score it at odd angles. She has great in-air body control and finishes well inside of 10-feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='751281' first='Rita' last='Kuepper'], 2027, Playground Elite Purple 15U
- Rita was great, from the first game to the last, and she plays more like a Senior than a rising Sophomore. She has a quiet toughness, she plays hard, she uses physicality at her position, and she understands a lot of the intricacies of the game. She plays with great poise & control, and she can score or distribute at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='874372' first='Nyajuacni' last='Riak'], 2028, [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] National
- At 6-2, with length and an athletic frame, Nyajuacni has a tremendous skillset at her age. She can handle it like a guard, she can change directions off the dribble against smaller, quicker defenders, and she has some touch from outside. She can post up to score it as well. She is also a special athlete, as evidenced by her casual practice dunks between games.
