[player_tooltip player_id='751285' first='Taressa' last='Hennes']

Coming off the bench in most of her first season, Hennes was the Orioles' fifth-leading scorer and uber-athletic kid who could defend multiple positions. Nothing screams the amount of trust that coaching staff had in her than having her defend Allie Ziebell at the state tournament for a while, and all things considered, Hennes did as well with that assignment as anyone could ask. She played her best basketball down the stretch and was part of the Orioles group that reached the state tournament last season. Hennes spent time at the Showcase jumping and grabbing the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='751281' first='Rita' last='Kuepper']

Nobody at last year's showcase had a more aesthetically pleasing brand of basketball than [player_tooltip player_id='751281' first='Rita' last='Kuepper']. Another Hartford Oriole, Kuepper's creativity on the offensive end of the floor was evident immediately. That ability to make something out of what looks like nothing makes people want to watch what she does next. She's been excellent in every significant game she's played in, whether it's at the state tournament or against a loaded All-Iowa Attack team in Minnesota. She rises to the occasion every time she steps on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='751263' first='Kennedi' last='Harden']

Few kids went to Appleton last year and had the first step that Harden possesses. Her speed allows her to beat her opponent off the dribble and find open players when she gets downhill, playing five-on-four with her defender chasing her from behind. Harden was among the leaders in the Big Eight in assists last season and was trusted to make decisions with the ball as a newcomer. The Vel Phillips Memorial guard can make things happen at the point of attack and create shots for herself and others. She garnered respect from coaches around the Big Eight last season and earned 2nd Team All-Conference Honors in her first year of high school basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='751262' first='Kaelyn' last='Nommensen']

Another player who entered their first year of high school basketball with multiple high-level 2027s, Nommensen, was the best of the newcomers at Wisconsin Lutheran last season. The 5'11 wing/forward plays with poise, scores at all three levels, and can work with her back to the basket. Her ability to consistently find ways to score, rebound, and move without the ball allowed her to lead the Vikings in rebounding and scoring last season. She also boasted shooting splits of 55/37/78, which is impressive considering she's playing talented teams in the Woodland-West. Nommensen earned Woodland-West All-Conference 2nd Team honors last season.
