Day two proved to be an exciting day and so many talented players showed up and showed out. In this article we look at some of the performances rendered on the 2nd day of the inside exposure Thanksgiving tournament. We have already mentioned the play of Freshme [player_tooltip player_id='219786' first='Kennedy' last='Deal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='248376' first='Arianna' last='Robinson'], and there are some more Freshmen who are standing out.

[player_tooltip player_id='727591' first='Jaiden' last='Peterson'] was really impressive on Day 2 of the Inside Exposure tournament and the young guard had the keys to the car. Peterson displayed leadership, poise, a high basketball IQ, and a great deal of skill on the basketball court. She handles the ball well, she can create scoring opportunities for herself as well as her teammates, which is the role of the point guard. The young guard can also shoot the three point ball. She is fast and shifty and can get by defenders with ease. She does this effortlessly while under control. She can get to the rim, pull up in the paint for the short jumper, or shoot the floater. Peterson also performed well on the defensive end of the floor. With her speed and ability to move her feet, Peterson stays in front of her man and keeps them from getting to the rim. She plays in your defense and makes it challenging for the opposing guard. Peterson stood out for her play and for her ability to lead at such an early age.

[player_tooltip player_id='515000' first='Rainah' last='Small'] showed that no moment was too “big” for her in the Inside Exposure Thanksgiving tournament. The Freshman guard was cool, calm, collected, and out their balling! Small can get to the rim and score and make plays for others to score. She can shoot the three from anywhere on the floor . She knocked down severa and one three point shot came down the stretch to maintain a slim lead in the pressure moments. Small even flashed a “big” smile during a pressure-packed moment of the game. Confident and Unflappable are two superlatives that describe the Freshman. Standout is another one. Small played well and helped her team defeat the defending State Champions.

[player_tooltip player_id='515001' first='Jorrdann' last='Sibley'] was another Freshman who stood out on Day 2 of the tournament. Sibley's on the ball defense was elite. She was locking up some of the top guards in the State and confidently flashing a smile when the game was in its most pressure packed moment. Sibley did a great job of handling the ball and handling the pressure packed moment. She may have scored some points, but it was her defense, ball handling and composure that drew the attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='515006' first='Rachael' last='Luis'] was poised in a lot of pressure moments during the tournament and time and time again the young Freshman made some kind of positive contribution to her team. Luis has great length and she uses it to compete against taller and more physical players. She did more than compete. Her moments in the floor were impactful. She had key rebounds, a few deflected passes, as well as a few blocks in the paint. Luis was active on the floor and it didn't go unnoticed. She was very impactful in this tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090647' first='Delissa' last='Morris'] was another Freshman who performed well on Day 2 of the tournament. Morris was impressive with her ball handling skills, her quickness, and her speed on the floor. The young guard was explosive to the rim and that first step was lethal. She often put the defender in a bind and drew the foul or got a quality layup at the rim. Morris has great athleticism and played with great deal of confidence on the court. The young guard also competed on defense and on the boards

Freshmen Notables:

[player_tooltip player_id='400817' first='Londyn' last='Tatum'] made some key contributions in her team's impressive win over Four Time defending 6A Champion St. Thomas Aquinas. Londyn was on the floor playing solid minutes in crunch time. Her on-ball defense and ball handling were key factors in closing the game out. The young Tatum played in the State Semifinals in Lakeland last season as an 8th grader, and that experience showed on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='400818' first='Kennedi' last='Tatum'] also logged some key minutes in the upset win over St. Thomas Aquinas. She provided solid defense and ball handling throughout the contest and was unphased by the pressure pack moment. Kennedi also played in the State tournament last season and was use to the big stage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090912' first='Mamie' last='Burkett'] has definitely played in some competitive games this tournament and she has definitely competed and mixed it up against some quality bigs. Burkett gets good position and she fights hard for rebounds. The young center-forward runs the floor well and does a good job of spelling the starters for a few moments.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090907' first='Natasha' last='Materia'] was a huge part of her team's success with a few threes at crucial moments. The shots were impressive, but Materia's “I belong here” mentality was the most impressive part of it all. The Freshman looks to be a major contributor this season.
