Coming in at #1 in this 2027 Update and holding this ranking position once again is [player_tooltip player_id='747245' first='Addison' last='Medeck'] of PLVS High School. Medeck is a 6'2 PF, that holds a handful of D1 offers at this time. To begin this Winter, Medeck started things off slowly coming off of a injury but she finished strong moving into this upcoming AAU season, almost posting a double-double per contest with 11.5 PPG-9.4 RPG. What you see is what you get out of Medeck. Her natural size and muscle mass is hard to match up with individually and that along with coordination, balance, and a soft touch on the ball makes for someone that can produce against some others that might be highly rated as well. She is a punisher with her back to the basket and with her ability to bury opponents under the hoop. She is a good passer from all over the floor, incase a double team does take place at any given time. This is the only 2027 out of Nebraska with multiple Division-1 offers currently. I'm sure that will change this AAU season but I also expect Medeck to receive a lot more love from college recruiters moving forward.

If we are talking about pure ability and talent level, [player_tooltip player_id='751925' first='T'Niyah' last='Wilson-Smith'] is in the conversation for the best out of this Class in this state. Wilson-Smith put on a clinic this Winter on the offensive end for her varsity program. She showed off her deep range pull up jumper each night. She got to the rim at a consistent rate with her crafty ability in small spaces on the drive. All while being someone who actively goes for rebounds on both sides of the ball. With all that being said, Wilson-Smtih is going to go as far as her defense lets her. She isn't terrible defensively but that is definitely what she is going to have to focus on the most on the road this Spring. She will be playing with a very talented group in ETG Midwest Elte 3SSB. If she wants to see the floor and stay on it, she is going to have to demonstrates that she can defend her position just as well as she can play it. If she does that, who knows who might offer her. The options might be endless.

A smooth shooting stroke from all three offensive levels. The ability to finish through or over contact inside the paint. The awareness to see ball and help-side at all times on defense so that she can help protect the hoop. These are just a few things that [player_tooltip player_id='753080' first='Mollie' last='Probasco'] does really well on the hardwood. The pro of playing with other really talented others is that you can usually play you natural position in those situations. This AAU season Probasco will join up with her ETG Midwest [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] 3SSB program and she is going to be looking to make some more waves. This is someone who holds an NAIA college offer at the moment but that's not something that she is going to be satisfied with right now.

If you have had the chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='893265' first='Zoe' last='Beveridge'] compete this Winter, you know that she is a top-notch competitor, that wants to beat her opponent in all facets of the game. Doesn't matter if it's assisting, rebounding, scoring, or defending. She wants to win and that helps Will her teams to victory in some tight contests. Beveridge is your ideal PG. She has good size at 5'9, she moves well off the dribble with some nifty in the half-court, she is ALWAYS willing to make the extra pass an open teammate, and she can really mix-it up if she see's a 1v1 matchup in front of her in the open court. Defensively, her natural instincts and active hands help her eat in the category of tips/deflections. In this Update, Beveridge moves from #8 to #4. A significant jump moving into travel season. If she keeps on her trajectory, she will either end up at a high-end D2 or possibly a MM-D1. We will just have to wait and see.

Rounding off the Top Five at #5 is PG, [player_tooltip player_id='719887' first='KayTee' last='Irons'] of Lincoln Southwest. Irons transferred into this program this season and she did a great job of producing right away for the group with the ball in her possession. She led things with tempo and pace whenever possible, showing that she can led their program into some promising places over the next few years. Irons is quicker than meets the eye off the dribble with an electric blow-by ability. Once this action happens, she does a good job of finding others that are either cutting to the hoop, already at the hoop, or who might be on the outside for a look from the perimeter. One of the biggest differences between a D2 and D1 prospect is the ability to make everyone else better around you and Irons does that. If she has some noteworthy contests this Spring/Summer, her interest will continue to rise.
