If you are looking for a next level PG, that has a ton of future potential, while still being extremely gifted already then look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='880903' first='Addie' last='McLaughlin'] of IC - Regain Catholic. McLaughlin is the truth. A high end shooter from anywhere you can name on the court, she is a prospect that can lead tempo and pace throughout a ball game with the ball in her possession, and her mental IQ/awareness of her surroundings is second-to-none. McLaughlin is going to be a name we speak about A LOT over the next 3.5 years. She bursted out this Winter and killed it against her competition. A trend that is sure to continue moving forward by the looks of it.

When you examine the Top 10 prospects out of this 2028 Class, you notice that [player_tooltip player_id='880901' first='Abbajay' last='Peters'] could turn out as one of the best out of everyone at the next level. Peters is debatably one of the most athletic players the state of Iowa has to offer. It's almost impossible to stick in front of her lightning quick first step, not to mention that she is also very skilled with the ball in her hands. She has a clean dribble with both hands, she can kill you go either way off the bounce, or she can create for others at a pretty high rate as well. The goal she will have over her next few seasons is to limited her TO numbers. If she can tighten that up a little bit, watch out cause we are potentially talking about a future Division-1 PG here.

It will be interesting to see where [player_tooltip player_id='766304' first='Paige' last='Andernacht'] takes things from here on out. Andernacht, a 5'11 Forward, competes with the powerhouse 5A Johnston Dragons so this Winter, she saw the floor sparingly behind Virigina Tech commit - [player_tooltip player_id='311351' first='Amani' last='Jenkins']. Which makes sense but as we progress on, I think Andernacht is going to have a more permeant role within her high school program. I would think that this is someone that will be in the conversation of starting next season at the 3 or 4 spot, depending on who else starts around her. As a player she possesses the ability to beat you with her back to the basket in the post, she can catch in the midrange and attack you off her dribble, she can catch and shoot from 15FT, and she boards really hard - usually leading to a put-back on offense or a chance of possession on defense for her squad. This AAU season she is going to be a staple on her Battlers team one again in the middle. That should be exciting to see first hand over the next few months before she returns for her sophomore campaign with the Dragons.

[player_tooltip player_id='920273' first='Samantha' last='Dorrity'] was highlighted earlier this week as a Stock-Riser for this 2028 Class so we won't go too in depth about her play style but to sum it up briefly; Dorrity was a vital piece to her CR - Xavier team's 4A State Title run this past three months. She took the floor as a freshman at 5'11, she did what she was asked and they are reaping the benefits because of that. In 90% of places around Iowa, Dorrity is a Day1 starter at the Varsity level. At Xavier they are known for only starting upperclassman so that's why Dorrity saw the court a little less than she should have. In this Update, she comes in at #9. A place that she should be proud of moving into this Spring AAU season.

There has always been something to like out of Kayln Scamman of Shenandoah High School at the guard spot. Scamman isn't the one to kill you with crazy moves but fundamentals. She takes what the defense gives her and that helps her keep it simple. As a freshman Scamman made waves with her high school team. She stood out as the best overall guard, skill wise and that's only going to grow with time. She already has a three level scoring mindset, active hands and feet on defense, and she acts like a born leader. Three things that usually lead to some positive results on the hardwood. This AAU season Scamman will be competing again with her [program_tooltip program_id='779942' first='ETG' last='Midwest Elite 3SSB'] team out of Omaha and they will compete against some of the best competition this Country has to offer so anyone who can standout on that stage is going to be in great shape moving into their next season of school ball.
