Double-Double Mania: State Tournament Edition (Free Report)

My favorite basketball statistic is and always will be the double-double. It's my basketball, ride or die.

I may have missed some, but I have scoured all of the box scores from this week's state tournament games and compiled all of the double-doubles recorded in this year's Girls' Basketball State Tournaments.

By my count, 36 double-doubles were recorded in this week's tournaments.

In the first round of the state tournaments, a total of 17 double-doubles were recorded by athletes.

In the semifinal round, there were nine double-doubles registered in the girls' games.

Eight athletes registered multiple double-doubles in the state tournament game.

Two athletes recorded double-doubles in all three of their respective state tournament contests.

Here is a list of the athletes who recorded ten-plus rebounds and scored ten-plus points in a state tournament game.

Sydney Buscher Sydney Buscher 6'0" | SF Spring Hill | 2025 State KS , 5'10”, SF/PF, Spring Hill, ‘25

Spring Hill's Buscher recorded a double-double in all three games of the Class 5A State Tournament. She scored 17 points and collected 13 rebounds in a semifinal loss to St. Thomas Aquinas. She opened the tournament with 26 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Maize South. The Broncos fell to Andover in the Consolation Game, but Bucher scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. She finished the tournament with 62 points and 39 rebounds. She is committed to playing volleyball for Washburn University.

Aliyah Green Aliyah Green 6'0" | PF Andover | 2025 State KS , 6'0”, PF, Andover, ‘25

The recent Buter Community College commit had three straight double-double games for Andover, who finished third in the Class 5A Tournament. She scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a first-round win over St. James Academy. The future Grizzly scored 20 points and collected 15 rebounds in a semifinal loss to Seaman. In the Consolation Game, she scored 12 points and hauled in 15 rebounds. She finished the tournament with 42 points and 42 rebounds.

Macayla Askew Macayla Askew 6'0" | SF Derby | 2026 State KS , 6'0”, SF, Derby, ‘26

Askew scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a semifinal win over Olathe North. She recorded a double-double in Derby's opening win over Wichita East, scoring 11 points and hauling in 13 rebounds. Askew is the No. 1 ranked athlete in Prep Girls Hoops Kansas' Class of 2026 rankings.

Jaliya Davis Jaliya Davis 6'2" | C Blue Valley North | 2025 State KS , 6'2”, C, Blue Valley North, '25

Davis played a huge role in Blue Valley North winning the Class 6A title. She scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Washburn Rural in the opening round. In the semifinal round, she scored 20 points and hauled in 17 rebounds. She is ranked No. 1 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025 and is committed to Kansas University.

Andi Foster, 5'5”, CG, Doniphan West, ‘27

She scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a semifinal win over Colgan. Foster also registered a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the first round. Doniphan West finished second in the Class 2A tournament.

Kailyn Hanni Kailyn Hanni 5'7" | PG Silver Lake | 2026 State KS , 6'0”, CG, Silver Lake, ‘25

In the semifinal round, she scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Hanni scored 23 points and grabbed 15 boards in Silver Lake's Class 3A first-round win over Girard. Hannie is ranked No. 15 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025.

Suttyn Harris Suttyn Harris 5'11" | CG Inman | 2026 State KS , 5'11”, CG, Inman, ‘26

Inman's Harris recorded two double-doubles in the Class 2A State Tournament. Harris scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Inman's opening round. On Saturday, she scored 18 points and collected 10 rebounds in Inman's win over Colgan to finish third in the tournament. Harris is verbally committed to playing volleyball for the Utah Utes.

Jayla McClinton Jayla McClinton 6'2" | PF Bishop Miege | 2026 State KS , 6'2”, PF, Bishop Miege, ‘26

Bishop Miege's McClinton recorded two double-doubles in the Class 4A tournament. She finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds in the title game. She registered a first-round double-double for the Stags. She scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. McClinton is ranked No. 13 overall in the Class of 2026 rankings.

Aubrey Shaw Aubrey Shaw 6'1" | PG Blue Valley North | 2025 State KS , 6'1”, PG, Blue Valley North, ‘25

Shaw recorded two double-doubles for the Class 6A State Champion Mustangs. She scored 22 points and hauled in 12 rebounds in the title game victory over Derby. She also recorded a double-double in North's semifinal win over Wichita Heights. She scored 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field. She added 14 rebounds to her stat line in that win. She is ranked No. 3 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025 and has committed to Harvard University.

KaMyra Barber KaMyra Barber 5'9" | PG Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 5'9”, PG, Wichita Heights, ‘25

Barber scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Falcons' 60-57 overtime win the Class 6A tournament,

Alisabeth Barton Alisabeth Barton 5'6" | PG Colby | 2025 State KS , 5'6”, PG, Colby, ‘25

Barton recorded a double-double in Colby's Class 3A first-round win over Osage City, scoring 23 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

Regan Becker Regan Becker 6'0" | CG Blue Valley Northwest | 2026 State KS , 6'0”, CG, St. James Academy, ‘26

Becker scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Crusaders' Class 5A first-round loss to Andover.

Sofia Calovich Sofia Calovich 5'10" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2027 State KS , 5'10”, PF, St. Thomas Aquinas, ‘27

Calovich recorded a double-double in the Saints' semifinal win over Spring Hill. She scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She finished the tournament with a total of 23 rebounds in three games.

Oen Deters Oen Deters 5'6" | SG Centralia | 2025 State KS , 5'6”, SG, Centralia, '25

In Centralia's Class 1ADI semi-final win over Troy Deters, she recorded her first double-double of the tournament. She scored 24 points and brought down 12 rebounds. She is committed to Benedictine and is ranked No. 20 in the Kansas Class of 2025 by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas.

Ava Esser Ava Esser 5'11" | PF Seaman | 2025 State KS , 5'11”, PF, Seaman, ‘25

Esser recorded a double-double in Seaman's first-round win over Piper. The Johnson County Community College volleyball signee scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Arika Feldman Arika Feldman 6'1" | SF Little River | 2026 State KS , 6'1”, SF, Little River, ‘26

Feldman is ranked No. 29 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She is verbally committed to Fort Hays State University. She recorded a double-double in Little River's Class 1A DI State Title game loss. She scored 15 points and grabbed 10 boards.

Saige Hadley Saige Hadley 5'9" | SF Lebo | 2025 State KS , 5'9”, SF, Lebo, ‘25

Hadley is ranked No. 153 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. She finished with a double-double in Lebo's semifinal loss to Hanover. She scored 17 points on 8-of-19 shooting from the floor and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Mariah Harris, 5'10”, PF, Colgan, ‘25

Harris scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to register a double-double in the Panthers' one-point semifinal loss to Doniphan West in the Class 2A semifinals.

Isla Herman Isla Herman 5'11" | SG/CG Spring Hill | 2026 State KS , 5'9”, CG, Spring Hill, ‘26

Herman finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds in the Broncos' opening round win over Maize South in the Class 5A Tournament.

Eve Long Eve Long 6'3" | PF Olathe South | 2027 State KS , 6'3”, PF, Olathe South, ‘27

Long is the No. 1 ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 202. She recorded a double-double in South's Class 6A loss to Olathe North. The sophomore forward scored 19 points and grabbed 11 boards.

Valerie Norwood Valerie Norwood 5'7" | CG Wellington | 2025 State KS , 5'7”, CG, Wellington, ‘25

Norwood recorded a double-double in the Crusader's semifinal win over Buhler. She scored 20 points, shooting 8-of-11 from the free-throw line and grabbed 10 boards. She is committed to Lindenwood.

Lydia Reed Lydia Reed 6'2" | C St. John | 2025 State KS , 6'0”, CG, St. John-Hudson, ‘26

Reed recorded a double-double in St. John-Hudosn's Class 1A DI first-round loss to Centralia. She scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She is headed to Fort Hays State University after graduation.

Isabelle Rogge, 5'11”, PF, Linn, ‘27

Linn advanced to the second round of the Class 1A DII tournament behind a double-double from Rogge. She scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against South Haven.

Maddie Vickery Maddie Vickery 6'1" | PF Washburn Rural | 2027 State KS , 6'1”, PF, Washburn Rural, ‘27

Vickery's sophomore season ended with a double-double performance against Blue Valley North. Vickery scored 12 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. She is ranked No. 2 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027 and has verbally committed to Kansas State University.

Kinley Wilhelm, 5'9”, CG, Seaman, ‘25

Wilhelm recorded a double-double in Seaman's semifinal win. She crashed the boards to grab a team-high 14 rebounds and scored 19 points.
