I wanted to take a shot and do my very own PGH Tennessee All-State team. Obviously, there are always specific criteria to go by when it comes to accolades and postseason awards. For me, mine wasn't purely based on stats. I looked for and saw who was impacting the game, how their team responded to their style of play, as well as their ability to score the basketball.

Throughout the tournament, I felt like there was plenty of talent who answered the bell and stepped up when their team needed it the most. Now, there can only be one champion per classification, however, kids being impactful and doing the little things right goes a long way and I just wasn't basing it off the championship game.

When it came to looking at these individuals, I watched how they moved, watched how they got after it, and how they finished a possession. Sure, they were able to get buckets, but it was those things people sometimes often overlook. For instance, how did she shut down her opponents and limit them to x amount of points? Did this screen open this passing lane up or allow that girl to drive? Did her pace and space create opportunities for this action to happen? These questions went through my head as I came to the conclusion of who would be named to my All-State PGH Tennessee team.

Without further ado, here is the list of names who made my PGH Tennessee All-State tournament team. Based on the number of teams in the tournament, I have a first-team All-State consisting of 12 girls and a second-team All-State listed with 12 girls.
