For most AAU teams, losing a 6'3 high-major post player and an elite-level point guard would be a serious blow. [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] 2028 EYBL is not like most teams. In spite of losing [player_tooltip player_id='644878' first='Sahara' last='Wilson'] midway through the 2024 summer season – she's now playing two years up on the 17U EYBL squad – and having the same thing happen with [player_tooltip player_id='806429' first='Amelia' last='Mills'] this spring, the 2028s soldiered on. Other players have had to step up and that is exactly what point guard [player_tooltip player_id='644898' first='Ally' last='Moore'] has done. Not only did she lead her team to the 2028 AAU State Championship this past weekend, she also captured Most Valuable Player honors. Here is a look at all of the competitors selected to the Prep Girls Hoops All-Tournament Teams.

FIRST TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='644898' first='Ally' last='Moore'] – The Orono point guard from [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] EYBL has long been in the shadow of her older sister Mya but, as she demonstrated rather well at the State Championships, Ally deserves some shine of her own. Ranked #13 in the Class of 2028, Moore is an elite distributor with skill and smarts and the steadiness every coach wants from their floor general. Ally was the maestro of the backcourt and her team made sweet music.

[player_tooltip player_id='908260' first='Maggie' last='Dyer'] – The big guard from Rochester Mayo and [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] EYBL has earned the #4 ranking in her class through hard work, consistent energy, physical presence and a whole lot of skill. She does it all for Tartan, including putting the ball in the basket to the tune of 15 points per game over the weekend. Dyer's last 12 months, including this most recent tournament, have been brilliant.

[player_tooltip player_id='904190' first='Malin' last='Youngberg'] – The [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] Blue forward from Little Falls was stunningly good throughout the State Championships, leading all Division 1 scorers with 18 points per game and dominating on the defensive end. Youngberg is the 10th-ranked prospect in the Class of 2028. At Shakopee this weekend she made a convincing case that it may be time to move her up.

[player_tooltip player_id='565313' first='Elsa' last='Retzlaff'] – For the second year in a row, [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] Blue delivered an impressive State Championships performance. In addition to Youngberg, the squad is heavily reliant on the skill, scoring and defensive presence of Retzlaff. Hailing from Class A Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls, the gritty guard is a top-20 prospect who averaged 12 ppg at State.

Lakyn Donnelly – The uber-talented point guard from North Dakota state champions West Fargo Horace parachuted into the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA lineup for the two-week State Championships series. As anyone familiar with Lakyn's game could tell you, her standout play at State was not a surprise. At all. One of the most gifted athletes in the region, Donnelly finished second in scoring in Division 1 with 62 points.

SECOND TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='716527' first='Ashna' last='Ramlall'] – Ashna is a top-5 prospect in the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2028, a high-octaine point guard who can handle it, pass it and shoot it with the best of them. The [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA freshman from Rosemount helped her team earn a runner-up finish. She was in double figures in three of the four games, including a 20-point performance in the semifinal victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='772240' first='Sarah' last='Poepard'] – Any number of first-rate prospects on the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA roster could have earned All-Tournament status at State, but you can never go wrong picking Poepard for some extra accolades. The #6 prospect among the 2028s, Sarah offers up reliable excellence in virtually every aspect of the game. Her length, athleticism, skill and shooting ability make Sarah a tough matchup every time out.

[player_tooltip player_id='948888' first='Mallory' last='McBeth'] – Versatility. Reliability. Consistency. What college coach isn't seeking all of the above? Freshmen who can defend with a high level of intensity and limit their mistakes will certainly find the floor at the next level. McBeth is that player. The [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] EYBL guard from Wayzata, a top 20 prospect, did all of that and more putting up 11 points per game and delivering big defensive stops throughout.

[player_tooltip player_id='905146' first='Harper' last='Vossen'] – All of the [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] EYBL teams, regardless of age group, have a well-earned reputation for quality defense. From one end of the roster to the other, players have to defend effectively or they'll be watching from the bench. Nobody did that better at the State Championships than Vossen, a top-50 prospect from Woodbury whose fingerprints were all over NT's victory. This unsung talent is a player to see.

[player_tooltip player_id='914941' first='Briana' last='Foster'] – Every time we looked last weekend, Bri was diving on the floor for a loose ball, battling with opponents for every square inch of real estate, laying it all on the line for [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] 3SSB. The lengthy guard from Minnehaha Academy is the heart and soul of a talented roster. A top-15 prospect in 2028, Foster has length, athleticism, speed, skill and a huge motor that never stops revving.

HONORABLE MENTION

[player_tooltip player_id='815083' first='Amelia' last='Ecker'] – [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] EYBL

[player_tooltip player_id='918684' first='Quinn' last='Kemper'] – [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA

[player_tooltip player_id='644896' first='Logan' last='Miller'] – [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA

[player_tooltip player_id='991284' first='Sydney' last='Towne'] – [program_tooltip program_id='1229871' first='Southwest' last='Fury']
