To be a, “Stock-Riser”, means a few things depending on how you look at it but the most important factor in my opinion is that the prospect is continuously putting in meaningful work in their off-time and that work is translating to the floor in real game-time. In this piece, we cover five individuals out of this 2027 Class in Iowa, that have embodied what it means to be a Stock-Riser these past few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='686893' first='Cassidy' last='Danburg'] sneaks into the Top Ten for the 2027 Class in Iowa for the very first time in this Update and for good reason. Danburg is a 6'2 PF, who is fairly coordinated with balanced and great touch on the ball. She is fairly good at getting past her defender when they over-play her or press her and she doesn't seem to feel a ton of pressure in big moments. She just kind of keeps it moving and that's something you love to see as a future collegiate prospect. I have a feeling Danburg is going to sneak into the D1 conversation the next six months. She is hungry for a respectable Junior campaign and I think she is going to bring it full-force come State Tournament time once again this Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='909494' first='Emma' last='Walkup'] makers her debut within the Top Fifty for the 2027 Class in this Update. Walkup has put together a great Spring AAU season and a great college elite camp season as well in the month of June. She is playing some tough ball right now and really showing off what she can do at a high rate whenever she is out on the floor. She checks off all the basic boxes of being coordinated, impactful with the ball, and being someone that makes everyone else around her better in real time. She can also shoot it pretty well off the catch when it is rotated back to her. All in all, a lot to like out of Walkup at this moment in time. If she stays the path, she will have a few offers before you know it.

One of the biggest stock-risers out of the State of Iowa right now is [player_tooltip player_id='863281' first='Hallie' last='Vander Weerdt'] of SE Polk high sChool and AIA AAU. Vander Weerdt is coming off of two D1 offers the past few months but she won't settle there. She is going to continue to work on her craft, hopefully stacking up some more as time goes on. HVW comes in between 6'1 and 6'2, she plays well under the bucket with her size and strength, and she understands her job when she takes the floor. Offensively, When she can take time to make a move, she is extremely tough to stop and that is notable. She just needs to stay locked in mentally and the rest will be history.

Coming in at #8 in this Update is [player_tooltip player_id='764451' first='Macey' last='O'Brien']. O'Brien of Hudson High School is a PG you want on your team. She has lengthy arms for her height at 5'10, she is considered a pass-first PG but with her size she can dominate individual matchups, she is always active on the boards, and she can be her team's defensive stopper at any given moment. O'Brien has had to really work by herself the past couple of years. I can't imagine how she would fair with talented prospects like herself around her out on the floor but I'm sure her game would then look even more impressive then it already does. She holds 1 current D1 offer but that won't be her last. I'm sure the schools in her home state of Iowa are having conversations about her as we speak.

You might not know the name [player_tooltip player_id='1222832' first='Emory' last='Lincecum'] just yet but you should. Linecum competes wit Central Lyon High School and Team Warwick out of S.D. so you might not see her too often but she can definitely play this game of Basketball. I would say that she is a mix between a 2 and 4 right now, who can also play the 3. She is fairly good at most skilled things she attempts, always giving it a valiant effort at the very least. In this Update Lincecum falls into the #46 position. Something she should be proud of but not satisfied with moving forward.
