2027 Rankings: Versatility is Key

One of the headliners of the class, Stokes in an inside-outside threat. Has games where she makes it rain from three and is very comfortable putting the ball on the deck. Has super long arms, which allow her to swat shots and grab rebounds. While also mobile enough and can leverage her size advantage to make life very tough on opposing guards. Has been to the Class 4A State Tournament in back to back years, including a semifinal appearance. Now is playing against national competition on the Nike EYB 16 level with the Missouri Phenoms.     Lynchpin type player, who does the little things while also being a standout athlete. Impressive defensive mindset, with quick hands for steals and blocks. Or simply moving her feet to stay with guards. Can help out with the handling duties a bit as well. While also being a sneaky driver and scoring hustle points via putbacks or running the floor hard. Is switching high schools, joining Riverside Indian School.     Miller is a grinder, who makes the most of her talents. Outstanding motor as a rebounder. Understands positioning, while always fighting and chasing down long rebounds. Is continuing her skill level growth to be more of a 3/4 type forward as well. It's most evident right now on defense. But improving mid-range jumper and ballhandling abilities are hints at the potential she has.     Good athlete, who has had flashes of production in her first two years of varsity action. Can alter/block shots along the rim by using her height/long wingspan. While also capable of switching onto guards. Offensively, she is improving this spring as a shooter in the mid-range and from beyond the arc. Add in the ability to take defensive rebounds coast to coast, and there's plenty of ways that Butler can impact the game. A busy spring should set the stage for the Lady Hornet to take her production to the next level as a junior.     Anderson is a tough, defensive minded player. Her versatility shines the most on that end of the court. Willing to do the dirty work around the basket, especially with a plus wingspan. But also can move her feet well to cover and pressure on the perimeter. Is now with a new high school, the defending Class 6A champs, PC North. The 6A competition will be a test, but with her mindset she should rise to the occasion this winter.     Roberts versatility lies more on the offensive end. High motor rebounder, while also an inside-outside scoring threat. Operates well in the high post against zone with mid-range jumpers, while also very capable of hitting from three. A good athlete, plays a bit bigger than her height on defense. While also able to cover a lot of ground, leading to deflections and denying passes.
