Great camp at She Puts in Work Camp hosted by Lex Desir and staff. Great young talent to go along with some vets. To break down the coverage of each player I broke it down to teams by class. This is in no way first team or second team. Evaluations come from notes taken by myself and social media film. I gave it my best to cover every player in some way. If I did see all I needed to see tag me in those highlights or follow myself on the following social platforms. X @coahcjvick1 IG @coach_jvick

As mentioned in previous article check out on the link below. The camp was the first time I have actually seen Paityn play in person. I have seen games online and videos about the incoming freshman at Deer Creek but not in person. She did not disappoint one bit. She is the complete guard that has a very strong skill set. The ball handling and the decisions she makes are on point in what you are looking for in the PG spot. What makes her complete is the when off the ball she can shoot the 3 pointers but better yet it is the downhill game I believe when she is at her best.

On defense she is low with a great stance and gives up no ground forcing that 5 second call every time. When switching on ball screens she jumps it and shows chest forcing the ball to stay on that side. Note Big Pet Peeve when switching ball screens so that was a check in my notes. The incoming freshman adds another young guard that likes to run and play defense to the Lady Antlers backcourt. Looking forward to watching this season.

An incoming guard seeing for the first time at this camp. I am going off notes from the camp only. Quick feet and body movement in the dribble station that kept the ball low and tight. This movement allowed her in 5/5 to protect the ball while being aggressive in attacking the defender. In 3/3 station the ability to shoot the 3 off the pick opened up move options as the defense had to adjust. Nice pause off the screen reading the situation and made several nice passes to the post player rolling.

On defense she was very verbal calling out the coverage on ball screens as well as directing traffic on defense when getting back. A freshman to watch more in the upcoming travel period

Exciting incoming freshman that can flat out shoot the ball. Check out the article for that article. The combo guard will be asked to learn quickly next season as her high school team will be young and rely on the freshman class to have an impact.

A good ball handler that seemed to weave her way in and out of defenders always moving forward towards the goal. Eyes are up as she is reading the defense looking to either keep driving or kicking out the the open teammate. A crafty finisher at the rim using a floater or sliding under the defender arm getting it high on the back board for the finish. Showed great versatility on where she could play as I have seen her attack a zone from the high post.

Doing some research, she understands the weight room and agility is a must and you can see her putting that time in taking care of that. 2029 to keep an eye on this upcoming season.

A long promising 2029 that can play 2-4 position if needed. A player that caught my eye the week before in a showcase with her athletic abilities. The outside shooting mechanics looked very smooth. The footwork was right and a long follow through with hand snapping inside the rim. In the 1/1 station she used her long wing span as an advantage releasing the ball at the height of her jump over the defender. An aggressive driver that has a long stride and long finish at the rim during 3/3 play standing out. In transition she gets out and filled the lanes showing a easy target to pass up the floor for the layup.

A 2029 that I believe more people will know about as she enters high school ball next season. Faith has a big upside so keep an eye on this freshman

An incoming freshman at Fr. Gibson that is going to have an immediate impact on the program. The combo guard showed lot of poise at the PG position for an incoming freshman. Against the ball pressure the eyes stayed up reading the defense looking for the open teammate. If the pressure got up too close what I liked was that she drops and get downhill. None of that sideline-to-sideline stuff. A guard that will push the tempo baseline to baseline taking what the defense gives. As mentioned, eyes are up the floor looking to score or pass to the open teammate running the lanes.

The combo guard is an outstanding shooter. A shooter that always moving with the defense looking to set up in the gaps for the knock down 3. Impressive is the footwork on the catch and drives. I liked the step out footwork when getting open creating the space for the shot or the rip downhill. Nice 1-2 into her shot on the pull up leaving the option of a step back.

A bright young lady when speaking with her knows she is not a finish product. Evidence is when looking at her social media she is in the weight room getting stronger and faster. Along with teammate Zoe Hyde Ft. Gibson has a nice young backcourt for the future.

The lefty combo guard showed great handles as the point guard but she can also hurt you with the outside jumper. In the open floor the crossover was the set-up move getting the defender leaning to attack downhill. Nice vision on the dribble as she used the double crossover to work her way around the help. Good decisions when reading the rotating help defender making the correct passes. Sometimes it was the floater pull up and other times she stretches out around the block for the high finish off the glass. A very shifty driver that easily changed direction on one dribble.

A tough defender in the front court that stay low and moved laterally while applying the pressure. Moved great off the ball jumping into the passing lanes on the press for open floor steals. A 2029 that look forward to following as plays at the high school level next season.

An incoming freshman that showed impressive footwork on the low block in the 1 on 1 station. Does a great job of feeling for the defender with her back on the catch deciding which way she is going to make her move. Used a nice rocker dribble to get the defender going middle before drop stepping back to the baseline. A long stride on the dribble at times allowed her to get to the other block using the goal as protection from a block. Nice footwork at the high post squaring up facing the goal before making the move.

On defense she provides great protection at the rim as she showed nice timing on the blocks. A must box out on both ends as she hunts down the rebounds. Scoring multiple times in 5/5 play with the putbacks. A 2029 seeing for the first time and I see upside in growth. One to follow this upcoming season.
