Promise transfers to Midwest City from Putnam City Original. Promise adds experience to a young promising Midwest City program. The point guard has nice handles in the open floor and half-court game always seeming in control. An outside shooter with an NBA range that can get on a heat check at any moment changing the game.

A open court defensive player that creates scoring opportunities through steals and deflections. I had the opportunity to watch her play in Edmond North Summer league, and you could tell she is just waiting for the moment to show that veteran leadership quality she has. Promise being the Senior and incoming freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1222916' first='Brooklyn' last='Henderson'] provide Midwest City with a nice 1-2 guard combo

Dasia returns to Weatherford from Duncan. Dasia could be the most versatile player on this list. I have seen her play Point Guard down to power forward. She is just a athlete who plays basketball. An outstanding shooter from beyond the arch keeps the defense honest opening driving lanes downhill. The small forward fits perfectly in an open offense that applies pressure on defense.

When visiting Dasia, she mentioned that she is also a outstanding soccer player, which explains the speed and agility she has. In Arkansas event her play had coaches taking notes. Dasia style of play fits great with the players Weatherford has returning. Expect a defensive minded team that is looking to put points on the scoreboard.

Starr transfer to Millwood giving the Lady Falcons a 6'3 to protect the paint this upcoming season. I had the chance to see her play for the first time in a couple of years this summer in the Mustang Summer League. The development has improved over the past summers. The addition of Starr allows the Lady Falcons to apply physical pressure on the wings knowing they have a shot block in the paint to help. A offensive rebounder that can get you those putback points as well.

The Lady Falcons will be a much-improved team overall with a fusion of new players and the energy of their new coach.

Makiya transfers to Class 6a Champion Putnam City North from Classen SAS. A small forward that can score in all 3 levels of the game. The ability to knock down the outside shot demands defensive coverage on the wings. The strongest part of her game is attacking a weak closeout getting downhill where she can be a play maker. Good decisions on the paint touches that can score but understands the reads and kicks out to open shooters when covered. In the game I watched this summer she never seemed pressured into making bad choices. At 5'11 and physically she plays on blocks as if she were a 6'2 power forward. Good body control and choice of moves make her a matchup problem for smaller guard-oriented teams.

Makiya performance this summer with Southern Assault has taken noticed as she has received offers. A great fit-in style of play for the Lady Panthers making them an early favorite to repeat.

I have mentioned Jaelynn in a previous article when I had the opportunity to see her play at OU team camp. Carrington transfers to Norman North from Moore. A perfect high post player that has soft shooting touch 15 feet out and is a good passing skills in a high/low game. The footwork is very solid on the low block when posting up. Great understanding of how to use her powerful base to move the defender gaining the baseline advantage. Aggressive rebounder that could get you that 10 a game.

The addition of Carrington takes the pressure off returning center [player_tooltip player_id='847042' first='Julieta' last='Diaz'] from being doubled teamed every night. She looked like she found the right system this summer and will be a good fit in Norman North game plan. Jaelynn has the potential to have a breakout senior campaign.
