On the pro level, the WNBA's All-Star festivities provide the midpoint to this season. This year's version is being held in Indianapolis.

One of the signature events of All-Star weekend is the 3-Point Contest that headlines All-Star Friday night. In honor of this season's 3-Point festivities, we at Prep Girls Hoops took a local focus at the Palmetto State to put a lens on the state's elite sharpshooters.

When having a conversation about solid sharpshooters across the Palmetto State, this talented standout at Legacy Early College has to be in that conversation. We at Prep Girls Hoops got a glimpse of Buff recently when she competed with SC Sixers at Run 4 Roses in Louisville and her 3-point shot looked as strong as ever. Her team went 3-1 in Louisville and will be competing in War Games at LakePoint Sports in Georgia. Last year, Buff picked up a pair of collegiate offers from Newberry as well as Montreat. She was a key reason as to why the Lions finished its 2024-25 season with a record of 15-8.

Hudson was one of three team captains last season for coach Kenny Orr's 5A Division 1 Rock Hill squad. The Bearcats have been one of the teams to beat as of late in South Carolina's highest of classifications and Hudson has been a reason for that these past several years. Hudson averaged 17.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals per contest and set a school record for most triples in a game with 11 when Rock Hill prevailed over Clover by a final of 62-59 in the second round of last season's 5A Division 1 playoffs. Hudson is a three-sport athlete who also plays tennis and soccer.

Wolf is one of many in the Charlotte area that has both Carolinas covered. During the high school season, she sports the blue and gold of 5A Division 2 Fort Mill. During the spring and summer months of AAU, she switches to the purple threads of Lady Attack Elite. A veteran guard who can put points on the board from all three levels, she averaged 10.1 points per game last season to lead the Yellow Jackets in scoring. Her Lady Attack Elite 2027 team will take part in the Select 40 this weekend at Spooky Nook in Ohio and was another of the many teams that were at Roses this past weekend in Louisville.

Pojani seamlessly fuses together the passing ability of a point guard with the long-range accuracy of a two. She wore SCISA 4A First Baptist purple on 32 occasions last season and averaged 17.3 points, four steals, 3.7 rebounds and three assists a game – as a freshman. She has played up in class with Her Elite 16U and has landed offers from Presbyterian and West Georgia. Her team took part in Run 4 Roses at Louisville and will be one of the many teams on hand in Chicago at the Nike Nationals. Her offensive versatility plus an ability to adjust on the fly make Pojani tough for many a defense to guard.

When guarding Adams, one has to watch out for when she will attempt one from deep. Many of her tries from behind the 3-point arc result in three more points for her team. Adams possesses attributes of both one and two guards, but her 5-foot-10 stature makes her taller than most conventional backcourt players, making her long range shot all the more effective. She has played at the varsity level with the Knights since she was a seventh grader and averaged 12.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and two steals for a St. Joseph's Catholic team that was an Upper State finalist in 2024-25.

In 2024-25, we got a glimpse of what we can expect from Patterson as her career blossoms at 2A Clinton. One can expect even more as she will soon embark on her freshman campaign with the Red Devils – a team that was a 2A Upper State finalist from last season. Patterson is a two-sport athlete who also excels as a softball player in addition to her basketball accomplishments. Playing for Team Curry on the AAU circuit will also raise one's profile. She played her first season in varsity as a seventh grader and will be a huge reason why coach John Gardner's group will once again contend in 2A play this season.
