Understood how to create gaps on offense by cutting through when dribbled at. I liked the fact that she is always moving without the ball. Either backdoor cutting when over played or sneaking behind the defense when backs are turned. Best part of her game is she is a downhill driver that does not mind taking on contact at the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Young guard, that has developed through the Dale system understand what it will take to find court as a freshman on a state tournament type team. Athletic guard that can play the point guard position as well as the 2-guard spot. Best in the open floor game where she can use her athletic speed and change of direction with the ball to weave towards the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Peyton athletic style and pressure defense could earn her a starting spot on a very good Lady Jacket team. When watching her school team this summer she started. Athletic that runs the floor and has a good feel for the game. Nice jumper coming off the ball screen could make her one of those players you have to fight over as she develops that into a more consistent shot. Great hesi crossover move was very effective as she blew by defenders getting to the rim. Showed range on the 3-point line on the catch/Shoot as well as the transition pull up jumper. Aggressive baseline driver that is athletic enough to stretch it a reverse baseline layup if possible.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gets out in transition filling the lanes for easy transition buckets. Tough defender that gets her hands on a lot of deflections. The outside shooting range made her a tough match up. An aggressive downhill driver that does not mind contact finishing to complete the old school And 1. Strength and past defensive experience shows in the post as she was able to guard a larger post player. In transition offense kept great spacing and angle to finish the pass up the floor for the layup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tough defender that is very physical and gives up little ground off the dribble. Great positioning under the basket in rebounding creating the space needed to get the board. Great size and long wingspan stands tout the first time you see Piper. Impressive is her work on the boards on both ends of the floor. Aggressive offensive rebounder that scores with brute strength as other players are climbing on her arms. Shooter with deep range that got really hot during 3/3 play.
