Today, I attended the Expo up in Appleton, Wisconsin. I'll begin going through a handful of teams that I watched play today and highlighting the players I observed throughout the morning and early afternoon. I thought it was a productive day, seeing some players from around the state, and I found it to be my most enjoyable Expo since I first attended the event in 2021. Tonight, we'll look at Team One and discuss the players from that unit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1174747' first='Milan' last='Fullerton']

Fullerton was a player who impressed me with her work away from the ball. She was active on the offensive end and worked her way into open pockets of space to get her shot off. Her ability to find ways to work away from the ball and affect winning fits well in her group among multiple talented lead guards. However, I thought she passed the ball well when it was in her hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='888333' first='Nayeli' last='Cabrera']

The Franklin guard was a player who impressed me at the Freshman Showcase last year and was someone whom I've enjoyed watching over the past 12 months. She handles the ball well and is a threat to create with the ball in her hands. She has the tools to knock down shots and beat her defender off the dribble. I feel she is a player who could take another step this season.

Jaydn Mataczynski

I saw Mataczynski last week at an open gym in Hudson, and she looked more physical than when I last saw her play last winter. She is a better lead guard than she was in her first year of high school basketball and has some added confidence heading into her sophomore campaign with the Raiders. She could surprise some people in the Big Rivers this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='892938' first='Kinsley' last='Venden']

I had mixed feelings with Venden last season, because she is a player who can make things happen, but had to do more than she may have been ready for to help her team compete. However, she is a player who took the summer seriously and could find another gear as a sophomore. She is someone who plays at a non-traditional power, but she is a more confident and consistent version of herself than the one who walked in as a newcomer last season. She put in the work and could help her team find another gear this winter. Keep an eye on her.
