Schmidtlein is ranked No. 2 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas and is currently ranked No. 1 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She is super talented and a natural athlete. She is a threat to record double-doubles when playing basketball and to reach double digits in kills each time she steps on a volleyball court. Through 47 sets played, she has recorded 207 kills. She is on pace to match or surpass her total of 440 kills as a freshman. She will get a ton of college offers, so her biggest decision, when it comes time, will be which sport to play collegiately. If I were to place a bet on it, I think she will choose volleyball, but the odds are close.

Let me start by being clear, the writing on the wall is that Boss should be headed to college to play basketball. However, she is a solid volleyball prospect, and her older sister will be competing for a Division I track and field team. You just never know. I watched Boss last winter, and she completely dominated a game, scoring and on the boards. I saw Osage City play in September, and Boss had a solid match. In 53 sets played, she has already surpassed her freshman season kill numbers. She finished with 149 last season and has already recorded 165 list fall. She is ranked No. 6 overall by PGH Kansas and is a solid candidate to average a double-double during her upcoming sophomore hardwood season.

Hayden is a team I have watched multiple times this season, and Wichman is playing a larger role in the team's success than she did last year. She is third on the team in kills with 105 through 45 sets played. She has also recorded 55 digs and 15 blocks for the Wildcats. She can play power or small forward for Hayden's basketball squad. Hayden graduated one of their paint monsters from last season, so Wichman could see more playing time this winer as well.

I have not seen Banks play basketball, but I have seen her play volleyball twice this season. She is a physical specimen who moves well for her size. She could evolve into a net monster or paint monster, depending on who she wants to scare! She has recorded 50 kills and 15 blocks in her first 27 sets played this season. She will be an athlete to watch and could easily be cast in "Monsters Inc. III: Monsters In The Little Apple."

Another physical specimen who plays on both the basketball and volleyball courts is Silver Lake's Deiter. She has the second-highest total of kills for the Eagles. She has registered 142 kills in Silver Lake's first 42 sets played. The Eagles are a team that could make a run at state titles in both sports, which will benefit the small-school prospect's exposure. She can play six rotations and has also recorded 28 aces this season to date. She is ranked No. 34 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028.

I would like to take whatever Walter uses for energy and bottle it up to sell. This young lady's motor runs wide open, and she stays so busy, I don't know when she sleeps or eats. Walter is a three-sport prospect in basketball, volleyball, and softball. She plays each sport for Hayden and at the club level. She has recorded 478 assists in 47 sets played for the Wildcats. She played primarily on the junior varsity squad last season for Hayden, but look for her to challenge for the starting point guard position this winter. The big question for her on the basketball court will be can she score at an elite level. She can run the floor and has excellent court vision.
