Last Weekend, I attended the Expo up in Appleton, Wisconsin. I'll begin going through a handful of teams that I watched play today and highlighting the players I observed throughout the morning and early afternoon. I thought it was a productive day, seeing some players from around the state, and I found it to be my most enjoyable Expo since I first attended the event in 2021. Today, we'll look at Team Five and discuss the players from that unit.

The Oshkosh West wing has the talent to be a productive varsity player in the Fox Valley Association this coming winter. Stauffacher has the length that will help her play good defensive basketball and help her Wildcat team compete. She has the potential to become a player who can help her team compete at the top of the conference. She also has room to grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='874979' first='Sophia' last='Hermann']

Hermann handled the ball well in her minutes in Appleton. She did a solid job of getting her teammates involved on the offensive end. Having a player like Hermann can elevate the players she shares the floor with, and that's what happened when her group entered the 5v5 portion of the event. I also liked her willingness to dive after loose balls.

Madeline Bunyer

Bunyer showed that she could space the floor on the offensive end. She is a willing shooter who can knock down shots from the perimeter and make multiple three-pointers on any given night. She is also a player who plays hard on the defensive end of the floor and can help her team earn extra possessions.

[player_tooltip player_id='882114' first='Ariell' last='Allen']

Allen was, in my opinion, among the most impressive players at the event this past weekend. The Milwaukee Academy of Science guard makes things look easy on the offensive end of the floor. Any time the lefty took a jumper from behind the three-point line, I thought the shot was going in. Allen is a player who will pose problems for any defense she plays against in her junior and senior seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='917718' first='Vonna' last='Shill']

The Pius XI guard is an athletic kid who may not be the most physically imposing player. However, the way she jumps and runs is elite compared to her peers. She played behind a talented backcourt for the Lady Popes last season. Her willingness to make extra effort plays on both ends of the floor, and her improved offensive game could make her a surprise to some this winter.
