Today, I attended the Expo up in Appleton, Wisconsin. I'll begin going through a handful of teams that I watched play today and highlighting the players I observed throughout the morning and early afternoon. I thought it was a productive day, seeing some players from around the state, and I found it to be my most enjoyable Expo since I first attended the event in 2021. Today, we'll look at Team One and discuss the players from that unit.

[player_tooltip player_id='891016' first='Grace' last='Ruys']

Ruys was an intriguing offensive prospect when I saw her in Appleton last weekend. She showed that she had the skillset to attack the basket, but that's only the beginning. I liked her ability to operate with the ball in her hands and how well she handled the ball under pressure. I also thought her ability to shoot would help her throughout her high school career.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226720' first='Grace' last='Warborg']

I did not know Warborg before The Expo this past weekend, but I thought she was a player who could be an intriguing prospect to follow over the next few years. I thought she had confidence with the ball in her hands and was able to generate solid offensive possessions with it. She showed that she could make plays for others, which is a good sign for her moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='855854' first='Morgan' last='Martinez']

Martinez is a player I highlighted before the event as a player to watch this upcoming season, and she showed why I think that. She plays hard on both ends of the floor. I also loved that she doesn't need plays run for her to score; her effort will help her earn looks at the basket. She ran the floor well and played hard whenever I watched her play. I was also impressed with her ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter, which was better than I remembered.

[player_tooltip player_id='892249' first='Morgan' last='Mocadlo']

The Hortonville guard is a player who has developed over the past year. Mocadlo looks more confident than she did when she attended the Freshman Showcase a year ago. She looked to score more than she did in the past. The rising sophomore also had opportunities to play at the end of the 2024-25 high school season, and played good basketball for the [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] last summer. She is a player who could have a breakout campaign in the upcoming season and help the Polar Bears have a better season than expected.
